Very mediocre drinks, basement setting that feels like nothing has been updated since the 90s, and you'll probably have your view obstructed by a giant pillar if you go for a concert.
Also it's weird how insecure the owner is about the other City Winery that opened up down the street. He mentioned it so many times throughout the night, it almost felt like an advertisement for the other place.
They played loud recorded music 70’s -80’s from 6:30 - 7:30. Then a bluegrass concert. Didn’t really go together. Could do without the recorded music.
What a cool venue! We saw a show here and grabbed drinks. Really intimate environment that felt remarkably comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was under renovation, so the venue allowed outside food to be brought in- a policy that I'd never seen before but was really fun!
Great place for live music. Great vibes every time.
Great tasting wine, couldn’t have been more pleased with the cabernet… the service is great, very welcoming and friendly, definitely recommended if you haven’t been here
Great concept and good wines. The Cab, Tempranillo, Malbec, and White blend were very tasty and complex.
Well done.
They have mostly dry wines, which I do not like but my husband does, but they do have other options. They have a decent selection of local beers on tap and they also make a delicious Sangria, which the owner said they change seasonally! I loved the sangria! It was refreshing after a long day of walking the Strip District. The owner was delightful to talk with about their offerings. We will definitely stop in each time we visit the Strip.
Awesome spot, great wine, and the best staff. Even if you are not a wine drinker, they have alternate alcohol and N/A options. A true ORIGINAL Pittsburgh staple that has always, and continues to keep local music alive and well. 10 out of 10.
Venue has limited seating, making popular events uncomfortable. Only 1 bike rack at venue, so better hope you're the first biker there or you'll be struggling to lock up.
“Winery” with the worst wine I tried in my life!!!

great place to see a show...nice ownership...wide assortment of music
On 6/15/25 was at the Winery for a concert. Being disabled i look for certain things to make my experience better or, unlike some places, actually accessible. The owner has turned this spot into a real gem in the Strip! The bathrooms are plenty accessible in my wheelchair and they have a lift to take you downstairs to the concert stage. The stage area has wine barrels stamped with the wineries logo with some awesome backlighting, which makes for a spectacular backdrop. The sound was excellent and the employees were the same! I would definitely attend more events at this venue.
Beautiful place great atmosphere but advertised as having food. No food. They're allowing people to bring in outside food but it would be nice if they gave advance notice. By the time I found out, I would be missing the concert I came to see if I ran for food. Disappointing to say the least.
My partner and I enjoyed the Flamenco show a couple of weeks ago. The venue's intimate and cozy atmosphere, combined with outstanding service, made for a memorable evening.
Michael's wine recommendations at the bar were spot on, and Kelsey's ninja-like efficiency in serving our DiAnoia's treats and drinks was impressive. We also had the opportunity to tell Zack, the manager, in person how professional and accommodating the staff were.
We look forward to returning again soon!
Went and saw a comedy show here the other weekend and it was pretty awesome. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. My friends and I had an amazing time. There was an incident with a rowdy patron and they handled it quickly, quietly, and respectfully with very little disruption to the show.
