My friend and I went there last Saturday morning. We ordered two coffees and two sandwiches. We got the two cups of coffee, sat down and started chatting. Twenty + min passed and no food came out. I asked one of the two ladies at the front desk. The one looked at her computer and said something about the machine not sending the orders to the kitchen. She said it in such a dry manner. I said "so you didn't make the sandwiches?. She repeated there was a problem with the machine. I repeated my question "so you didn't make the sandwiches?". At that point both women stated that there was an issue with the machine. There was never an empathetic and apologetic "I'm sorry you've been waiting so long. There was a problem with the machine. We will bring the sandwiches out in just a minute". A few minutes later, a guy came out with the sandwiches. He had a smile on his face and said "I'm sorry about the wait!". He made the entire experience a bit less crappy. He was the only one there with ownership and good customer service.
The only thing worse than the wait was those women's attitudes. If you mess up, then face up!
Needless to say, I could never recommend this place to anyone.

I don’t usually come to this part of the town, but I was here waiting for my train to come, and this was right by the train station, so I thought might as well Get a coffee. The coffee shop is in fact named after the station, which is the Potomac station. The space itself is large although the interiors are a bit dated. It was pretty empty when I visited, and I think I was the only customer. I got the special rosemary and something else latte and it was quite expensive. The latte seemed a little bit watered down to me. I’m not sure if it was because they had added too much ice or there was some other reason, but it was not very strong latte.

Lovely coffee shop! All decorated for Christmas when I stopped in. Delicious drinks, tasty treats, and kind service. Loved the seasonal menu! ☕
Potomac station is a great little corner coffee shop. The coffee is made properly and the pastries and paninis are made there. Try the Mayan Mocha and the pumpkin cinnamon rolls. I highly recommend it. Andrew runs a tight ship.
Kid-friendliness: I'm not sure kids would like the food or coffee. They might.

Andrew has done an amazing job with Potomac. He is an excellent pastry chef and always has tasty treats. Cinnamon buns are a classic choice, but the chai cupcake with lavender frosting was fun and adventurous (not to mention delicious)! There is always a seasonal drinks menu that is just what you're looking for or something you didn't know you needed! Couldn't recommend enough for that sweet treat, tasty sandwhich or special latte!

Honestly the best locally owned coffee shop I've ever found. The owner takes pride in what he does, and it shows. Really made food and better coffee than you'll ever find at an overpriced chain coffee shop

I’m recently new to the area and just opened a hair salon, I’ve been trying new coffee places to enjoy and this one has really hit the spot. It has the cutest decor and very friendly welcoming when entering. The menu special items are highlight and the FOOD PORTION SIZES ARE HUGE! The new owner Andrew I had met with on my first trip and I just really loved the service I received.
Each time the coffee has been really good, and the food over the top amazing. I love the customer experience I received each time I’ve been in. I will be back. Such a great place to relax.
