Hate to give it a meh, but it is fair to poor all around.
We took our family of 6 here for the 1st time and left wishing we went anywhere else.
Was mostly empty for a weekend, which was a warning we didn't pick up on!
Starting off the evening, the staff was not very enthusiastic. We were greeted by someone that looked like they didn't want to be there. The waiter had an accent that was hard to understand and he didn't try to slow down and annunciate, and he was frustrated when asked a couple times to repeat what he was saying. He got alot wrong because we couldn't understand what he would repeat about what was being asked of him. Then he just took a long time... Again, not very busy...
We asked for saki, he said only 1 kind was available which was hot saki. I've enjoyed a lot of hot saki in the past, but this was the worst saki that I have ever had the displeasure of sipping... it tasted like straight rubbing alcohol that had been sopped up off the ground with an old rag and squeezed into our decanter. 3 of us tried it and we left the bottle, completely undrinkable. So bad. I saw other bottles of saki in the bar when we were leaving, which would have been nice to have instead of this swill.
The chef was also pretty unenthusiastic. Going through the motions, but not very fun, he looked like he was having a rough night.
The food was bland, and somehow over salted at the same time. I asked for medium rare steak, and as we watched him overcook it, I asked him to take it off the grill but he just looked at me with a blank stare and kept flipping it over, ruining it. The steak was either bad or of poor quality, as it had a gamey, liver taste. Fried rice was bad. The Kids and I all love hibachi fried rice at other places and were very disappointed.
Everyone's food was meh.
The staff was meh.
The experience was meh.
We left alot of the food on the table uneaten and none of us asked to take the leftovers with us which is rare... Especially as the bill was around $300.
No one asked how everything was. I am vocal about politely letting staff know if I'm not happy, but no one seemed to care that we didn't eat a lot of our food...
I'll stick to my local hibachi or try others in the area but this is a one and done.
MEH.
EDIT: Response to your response.
Yes, I am sure this is the right place. i have attached 2 photos, one of the front of your restaurant from maps, and one of our group, inside, after dinner, faces redacted but the memes are correct. This was a family dinner for my kids birthday, and was supposed to be a treat... we could have went to McDonalds for a better experience...
Oh, in addition, they were OUT OF MOCHI, so we couldn't even put a candle in a dessert for my boys birthday, which was fine, so instead, we went to the Coldstone creamery, just down the street, so we could celebrate with a good finish to a bad experience.
Had an absolute king serve us. Food came out super fast & he was hilarious

Itβs really fast. You get a bunch of average food. The building itself is exceptionally dirty(trash outside, bathrooms are dirty, floors too), especially for 30+ dollars a plate.

Hands down THE best hibachi place in the area. Reasonably priced and a wide variety of food and drinks besides the hibachi dinners.

Customer service is alright but not great. I informed waitress that I have allergies to certain things and they didn't get it right. It literally took 2 tries to prepare my order.

Our cook was not entertaining. He looked like he didnt want to be there. Didn't do the egg trick. No saki offered. However the food was good.

I mean... Dawg... The staff were friendly and helpful and great but the place it's self looked pretty beat up. I don't want to be rude but there were multiple broken things like noticable things... I think maybe the floor was sticky, but it might not have been, cause this is Pittsburgh and like 50% of floors are sticky... So I might be confusing it with another place... But the interior needs a glow up. It sort of reminds me of the Head Quarters for all the robots in that movie Electric State, you know the abandoned mall... Anyway, it was not super great. I don't think I would go back.

Could have been cleaner. Found a cockroach πͺ³ running across my mother's plate when we sat down. We we told the waitress about it she acted as though it was no big deal. Bathrooms could have been cleaner as well.

went here for a birthday diner. until we found a cockroach on a plate. instead all the server did was stick it in the storage area below the grill.
