Thank goodness places like this still exist! Same owners for as long as I can remember. Genuine mixed crowd of characters, locals, wanderers, & after work crowd. Cheap drinks & Jenn the bartender is amazing! She has all the Pittsburgh charm you can handle. If you want that actual old school bar character without all the yuppies in Shadyside. This is one of the very few left.
Good people and straight forward watering hole; prices are good, no food but carry in allowed and tons of close places (also there is a delivery biker who frequents the area and this bar so instant service) electronic dart boards- but no pool currently :( outdoor seating and smoking area, euc onewheel ebike charging friendly with super narrow alley entrance for extra security. Basement has a private lounge area and other bathroom that is always available.
Eh...small with no niche....nice thing is there is (usually) no crowd. When there is it appears that they are the off Broadway (off Walnut St.) Type...the owner is definitely nervous about the crowd causing a scene or making the news...I don't blame him...but quite annoying.
