Been in Oakland for a few years and Sidecar is my go-to cafe for myself and to meet up with friends. The food is phenomenal, their baked goods are perfection, and the drinks are delicious. Special shout out to the barista Em for making some of the best coffees I’ve ever had and always having great drink recommendations and such cheerful, professional customer service. The entire place is decorated so cutely with their signature mugs and wall art (please start selling the mugs!) and their iconic mirror wall. I recommend Sidecar whenever a friend mentions they want to get coffee, and I always recommend the Pittsburgh Smog tea and cinnamon rolls.

This place absolutely rocks. I can’t recommend the cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches enough. Also the workers are so nice and friendly! I rarely go to any other coffee shop because this one is the best in the ‘burgh

Gave me a pre-heated sandwich and INSTANT COFFEE and charged me $15+ bucks for it (plus tip!) frankly, it’s the instant coffee I’m the most offended about. It boggles my mind that this place gets good reviews.
Best place to get assignments done in Oakland, with a great selection of delicious cakes/pies!!

I'll start by saying I love this coffee shop. The food and coffee are great. The employees are nice. However, every time I come in there is always a crazy guy that is seemingly obsessed with feet. Last time I went in he asked me to take my shoes off and when I said no he started trying to grab my feet. No one did anything about it. I would love to keep coming in but at this point I feel so uncomfortable that I don't think I will ever come back.

Many kinds of cakes are offered here but there are few options of cold non-alcoholic drinks. It is frustrating when it’s summer and all you want a piece of cake anda very cold refreshment.

Cute place but my drink was terrible. Ordered an iced latte with their house made oat milk and the drink tasted like yucky water. No flavor from the espresso or the milk. Had to throw it away as it was not drinkable at all. However, their lemon blueberry cheesecake was to die for and probably some of the best I have ever had. Will be going back for the cakes but not for the coffee…

I like the vibe of this coffee shop and often find myself getting work done there. However, their coffee and food are overpriced and not great. I got the chicken salad sandwich for $8.50 and it was pre-made.
Nice little shop for coffee, sandwiches and pastries. My personal favorite is the vinegar pie. It sounds nuts, but it is absolutely delicious. I also usually have a double shot espresso. You can also post up and hangout for awhile at a table. The employees are delightful and always improve my mood when I stop in.
