I stopped by after work and was disappointed. The staff rushed me out since they was 20 min before closing time. I ordered a $15 extra lean pastrami sandwich, but it fell short of expectations. It wasn’t terrible, but for the price, I expected better quality. Overall, an unsatisfying experience.

Sells inedible food

Placed an online order, picked up my food and got home with 4 burnt latkes. Black. Inedible. An insult.

I emailed them to report the problem. It’s been 9 days and they haven’t responded. Only conclusion is they don’t care.

Their deli sandwiches are very good. Will still go back but will inspect everything before leaving.

The food is pretty good, but they can't seem to get delivery orders sent out accurately. Here's an idea - check the order then double check it again before it goes out. Is it that hard? Write on the container what is inside it so you're not just grabbing the wrong styrofoam container. If there is a drink on the order - put a sticker or something on the bag to remind you get include it. Do a better job!

It’s a little expensive but the food you get is really really good. I had the Reuben, the traditional way and it was delicious! My coworker had the turkey club and loved it. We’re both sandwich queens and love a good sandwich. This was definitely the place to go. Workers are a little strange, the cashier had no personality or even cracked a smile and the guy who made my sandwich was going back and forth with the cashier about giving me napkins… kinda weird but yeah foods good.

I was craving a good deli sandwich...specifically a corned beef Rachel with a large order of extra crisp fries, My son ordered pastrami Reuben for himself to go so we could spend time together and share a yummy lunch. Not only was the corned beef on my Rachel dry and fried to death leaving no moisture in it, there was NO melted Swiss cheese. It wasn't a thick sandwich like one would expect. The fries weren't crisp at all yet dark and tasted as if they'd been cooked in old oil so were thrown out. His Reuben was no better. I KNOW what a GOOD DELI SANDWICH should be but this was far from it. More than $30 down the drain.

I stumbled across Smallman Street Deli while wandering the strip before work. I had a half drank, cracked cold IPA in hand and a yearning for carbs on my mind and belly. Walking into Smallman deli, it was a small lil sandwich joint with a few options on the menu, telling me right away that this was going to be a fantastic spir-of-the-moment decision. I asked the cool, stone faced employee behind the counter what his favorite sandwich was, and he suggested their Reuben. I agreed and got the lunch combo, half Reuben and half deli salad.

My anticipation grew as I sat myself at the small two person table near the window next to the classic red coke fridge, full of ice cold bev-er-age.

When the stone faced man delivered me my half Reuben wrapped in parchment paper and paired eloquently with a spear of crisp dill pickle, my mouth watered.

The first bite of this juicy, gorgeous sandwich sent me on an emotional rollercoaster of pleasure, excitement, and everescent memories. From the initial crunch of the buttery, crispy marbled bread, to the tangy sauce, to the juicy, perfectly thin sliced layers of meat, to the crisp and ever so slightly sour kraut... It was a tearjerking meal that had you setting your phone down, closing your eyes, and licking the parchment paper to savor the last of that gorgeous, spectacular, Reuben.

I made sure to meet the man personally who was responsible for this incredible lunch and thank him myself.

The stone face cashier told me they were known for the best Reuben's in Pittsburgh.

I say, no doubt, my man. No. Doubt.
