I came here without knowing much about it other than it has ice cream. I discovered it's more interesting than I expected. You create your own ice cream flavor and add toppings and other additions. I got a regular size custard in a waffle bowl. I combined marshmallow, white chocolate, and caramel flavors and added Oreo and cookie dough pieces. It was yummy and I was super surprised by how big the regular ice cream was. Would go back again.

Stumbled across this place after my daughter pedicure appt. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She is as sweet as her ice cream. The prices for this new ice cream era are usually pretty pricey, but this place was very reasonable. Every single thing that we bought was very good and it’s so cool to watch how they create, your ice cream We will be back!!

Ordered an ice cream with a keto flavor and sugar free base. When it was being made, I saw the girl using the original base. I questioned the boy if it was sugar free and the girl intervened and said it was (as I said I saw her use the original base). She then finished my sister's without putting it in a waffle bowl like she ordered. The girl then hurried to clock out and leave, leaving my boyfriend's order paper on the counter without telling the boy, and we sat for several minutes before asking if it was going to be made (as I said the girl didn't mention it to the boy and the boy was on his phone and did not notice). Very disappointing experience. Will not be going back.

Really cool, fun concept. And, it's not just a great idea, it's also well executed. Their ice cream is very tasty. The place has a great diversity of options to choose from (tons of flavors, and options like custard, ice cream, low fat, etc). I tried the custard with 2 flavors: dulce de leche and peanut butter. One thing to keep in mind is when they say select flavors, and you select multiple, they will likely mix the flavors together. I thought it was going to be one scoop peanut butter and one scoop dulce de leche. But, I got a hybrid ice cream (create your own).Although it sounds kind of strange, it was actually delicious. The peanut butter isn't too intense. The dulce de leche is sweet, with light almost cinnamon undertones. The custard texture is perfect, and quite creamy. All in all, a great spot to get ice cream. I bet this place is packed in the summer. Recommend it for the experience and the flavor!Kid-friendliness: Very cool concept to show kids and of course they love the sweet treats!

Super customizable ice cream with a fun preparation method. It's cool to get to see the ice cream being made right in front of you.

There's now even more deliciousness at Sub Zero! This sweet treat shop known for their nitrogen ice cream. But they also just launched handmade edible cookie dough and acai bowls. I couldn't get enough of their cookie dough! Especially the birthday cake dough If you haven't been for ice cream, you should also check that out they make it all with nitrogen which is a really cool process to watch. The shop in East Liberty is owned by two sisters from around the Burgh they are extremely kind and happy to answer any questions!

This is the coolest and coldest ice cream store ever. The liquid nitrogen they use is set at -321 degrees Fahrenheit. The whole process was an enjoyable learning process. The product was as fresh as you can get, because they hand make it in front of you and delicious!Dr. Robert Kreashko

I had the custard. Was good. No wait when we arrived. The nitrogen balls tasted like a stale captain crunch cereal. The kids ate half of them and wasted the other half lol. This is definitely a different place than I expected. Good experience overall because the kids enjoyed it.
