It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The egg roll wasn't hot and neither was the entree. The waiter was very pleasant. Not sure if I would go back.

It’s good, but I’ve had better… the hot and sour soup was hardy and flavorful. The Basil Chicken is good, but greasy. The Amazing Chicken and General Tsao’s Chicken are good and flavorful, but a bit overbreaded and greasy. Overall, not bad

I had to chance to dine at Taipei for the first time in years since moving out of Pittsburgh. The experience was just as amazing as it was the first time I ate there back in the 90's. My personal favorite dish has always been the beef and mixed vegetables. I just love the baby corn! I've had the chance to eat at numerous Chinese restaurants around the US, including Chinatown in the Bay area. Virtually nothing compares to what Taipei offers in terms of quality of food. I can't stress this enough, they are one of the best Chinese establishments in the country. If you have never been to Pittsburgh before, this place is an absolute MUST for Chinese dining and good food in general. If I could freeze the food and have it shipped to me halfway across the country where I live, I would. Stop reading this review and give them your business!

I stopped here with my sister and brother-in-law for lunch on a Saturday. What I really liked was they gave you extra rice for your takeout leftover

We picked up an entree to share and were definitely satisfied. It's pricier than what I normally go for but the portion justifies it; one person could probably get two or three meals out of it. And a hearty amount of sauce meant I had some leftovers to cook with later in the week.My main quibble is that the sesame chicken's breading did not stand up to that much sauce on the ride home, so it wasn't contributing much to the taste or texture.

I’ve had sushi in the middle of the country that was 20X better than this. The fish was pretty awful. The flavors were not good at all. The restaurant was musty and gross. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The guy that waited on us was efficient and nice but that’s about it. The pricing was also way too high for the quality and just in general. Again, Utah, Colorado and Kansas has better sushi than this place and for a cheaper price point. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu but the sushi is not good.

Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's located down the street. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.Kid-friendliness: This is our child's favorite restaurant in the Pittsburgh area. The servers are always kind to her and she loves their salmon and avocado rolls as well as the Philadelphia rolls! She also enjoys the complimentary fried wontons with duck sauce and the orange slices.

A family favorite of ours. We have eaten here many times and love the food, but also the consistently excellent service and hospitality always makes it nice to eat here. Very large menu, everything always tastes fresh.
