“FAVORITE TEA SHOP!! I frequently shop here for herbs, teas and accessories. The team has lots of knowledge and is very helpful. The monthly Sunday tea/herb classes with Nicolette are the cherry on top of a wonderful shop already. 10/10 will come again!“

“My family and I stopped in when I was visiting from out of state. A native Pittsburgher, I love visiting shops in my hometown and decided to put this one on my list for the weekend. Jess was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and patient with our many questions to find teas to suit our tastes. My haul will last me for some time, but I’m already eager to place an online order in the future. My family was also so excited that they got a teapot to use each night, too, for their new teas. Very fair prices as well! Thank you!“

Mikkusu (formerly Ultra Matcha) Tea • $$
3511 Butler St, Pittsburgh

“• One clearly marked house-made vegan cookie. Flavor varies depending on the season. • Often have other small vegan snacks like a basic chia pudding and protein bars for sale. • The default milk in their drinks is vegan (yay!) and changes based on the flavor profile of the drink Of course you can always ask for a different milk. • Has a core drink menu which consists of matcha blended with other teas or herbs plus a rotating seasonal menu (ex. strawberry matcha for summer, chai matcha for fall, cocoa mint matcha for winter, sakura rose matcha for spring). Summer and spring flavors are personally my favorite!“

“This place is an absolute GEM. If I still lived in Pittsburgh, I would be hanging out here every single day. I highly recommend anyone get over here and check this place out!!! Amazing botanical goodies for everyone. Little Apothecary inside and you can make your own custom blend or use a house blend, plus krat tea and kava, definitely an amazing hang spot similar to the Bee Hive from back in the day.“

“Dobra Tea Pittsburgh is more than a tea shop—it's a sensory retreat. The ritualistic, immersive approach to tea making, along with plush, globally influenced surroundings, make this spot feel like a hidden corner of the world right here in Pittsburgh.
Ideal for tea lovers eager to explore, solo visitors wanting a quiet nook, or friends looking for shared solace over conversation and flavor. Yes, it gets busy—and yes, that sometimes means a slightly slower experience—but for many, the quality and depth of the tea experience make it more than worth the wait. The Purple Bubble tea was outstanding with Blueberry puree as add on to it, it’s a must try I would say.

Whether you're a devoted tea nerd or a casual sipper, Dobra Tea delivers an unmatched oasis in the city—bring a book, bring a friend.“

LOFT 412 Hookah Cafe Tea • $$
738 Bellefonte St, Pittsburgh

“Great setting, solid menu, staff are friendly and seem relatively knowledgeable. My only qualm is that I came to hopefully sample some flavors I've been looking at, but their flavors are somewhat limited. I say somewhat because they have an extensive range of Al Fakher, and a handful of Starbuzz and Adalya, so they're not exactly lacking in options, and the flavors they do have are widely held in high regard. That said, they only have blondes, so if you're looking for a deeper buzz, or to try something richer like Tangiers or Must Have, you'll have to look elsewhere.

In summation, I'll keep looking at others, but this one's not bad, worth checking out if you're a beginner or just looking for a generally chill experience“

“We had the best time for my cousins Bachelorette tea party! The atmosphere was so cozy and all of the staff were friendly! We had the best time blending our own special tea! Danielle was the best host and so knowledgeable about all of the herbs we could pick from. Booking the event was easy and Danielle was able to answer any questions that we had before the event and during it as well. Would definitely recommend Abeille Voyante Tea for their tea party and amazing loose leaf tea!“
