We Love ❤️ The Cafe , Many Laughs & Talks , With Amazing Food
Very disappointed in my recent meal on Saturday afternoon. The lemon orzo soup had a bitter/metallic taste, and the crab cake salad had almost no flavor. It was clearly a premade/frozen crab cake dumped onto a salad. I was shocked at the subpar food in the midst of a lovely space.
Great place for brunch
the facilities are great, museum carriage House gift Center conservatory Clayton tours. don't waste your time at the cafe. did not feel welcome there too many policies that are inhospitable. policies that are not welcoming. also the manager is rude and Ben's the policy rules for certain people in certain groups. also don't believe the menu they post I thought the menu you'll get when you go in. it's a little overpriced for what's offered. the food is fairly average nothing outstanding it can't be made in your kitchen. plan to go to the property do the tours and museum and then you'll find better restaurants more hospitable off property in the area.
Went for a friend's birthday party and had the best brunch ever. The flatbreads and teas were phenomenal. The staff were so kind and helped us with her suprise cake, 12/10 experience!
Saw they were hiring on Indeed… went to apply… realized about two questions in they ask about your sexuality…. It’s 2024😳
Expensive but a great location

The service was great and the food was excellent. I would recommend the roast beef and Montery Jack cheese sandwich.

Love it great lunch
The scone was too small and flat for the price even though the consistency and taste were very good. Please upsize your scones! Espresso drinks were good, and it looked like the sandwiches served were decent. Wonderful view of the grounds from the cafe.

Went for lunch with a couple of friends on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Place was packed, and we got lucky to find a parking spot quickly as someone was just backing out. Took around 10 minutes of standing in line to get inside and place an order. I had the salmon flatbread which was alright. Our server was absolutely lovely, but kinda forgot about the cookie we had ordered, and needed a reminder.
Parking: Can be tough because the lot is shared by the park and the museum and they get lots of visitors on a holiday weekend.

The Frick is magic so is the outdoor sitting area of the cafe . Dissappointed about the beet salad. The size is not lunch size but side size. I ordered salmon with it and it was smoked not baked. My bad. I was not full afterwards . The extra chicken that my friend ordered for hers was also a bit too scarce. I had a “ mocktail” that was decent but more like diluted lemonade. But 32 bucks? For arugula? , Not impressed.

Totally unorganized, no smooth service flow, not sure where to sit, stand, wait etc. Other guests explained to us what to do in line.

We were denied food without explanation. Cashier seemed annoyed that we even wanted to eat. Pastries were on display and other patrons were eating, though. There were clearly people working in the kitchen, too. My wife's London Fog was served lukewarm. The grounds are beautiful but this was a very disappointing experience for a so-called "cafe."

Did bother me that old man Frick was a union busting scab. But he's gone and they are doing good work there now.
