What in the WORLD happened here? Virtually overnight the place changed, it now looks like a caricature of a hipster establishment. Please do not mess with the menu or you will lose very loyal customers.

The Dor-Stop is such a special place, it’s been a neighborhood staple for so long and gosh….its just so disappointing that the new owners don’t get that. the wait staff is amazing, they remember names and faces, the warm energy they bring makes the environment special. this is a greasy spoon diner in the best way. the food has been great and consistent.but it’s very clear, since this new owner has come in, that there’s a large disconnect. From the new, cheap plastic plates, the gaudy mural and crude grass wall that’s just desperately trying to become something instagramable, it doesn’t fit what makes this place great. and furthermore, it’s clear the people working there are not happy about these changes. new owners are going to drive this place to the ground and it’s such a bummer because the folks who work there mean so much to the community here.all this to say: owners, if you see this, take a moment of reflection and understand that the folks of dormont want this place to succeed. we love the food, we love the community feel, and we love that the employees felt happy to be there. and you’re ruining it.

I REALLY hope the new ownership changes the menu somewhat and uses higher quality ingredients than the previous one's did.

From my understanding the owner of this establishment deletes the bad reviews thus a 4.5 star rating. I've heard of this place from the Facebook group Pittsburgh foodies. If the new owner cannot take responsibility for the mediocre food and then gets mad when people give it a bad review then it's not a place worth checking out. If interested in actual good food join our group.

First time giving this place a try. We came 25 minutes before they closed and the kitchen was closing. They were also out of bacon and home fries. Maybe we could’ve still eaten there if we ordered right away but the hostess had an unpleasant attitude. Just a bad vibe. Won’t try

Pretty good all around, and good atmosphere, friendly people, quality window seats, but room for improvement. The breakfast potatoes are not great.

Ate at Dor-Stop for the first time ever on Saturday, the 13th, and I can’t wait to come back. Staff was friendly and the food was really good. I had their apple cinnamon hot cakes and they were amazing.

It’s sad how far downhill the food has gone here and it’s pretty obvious by the fact that the restaurant is half empty half of the time now. Our server was great but the cooks are terrible and they clearly take zero pride in the food. I ordered well done potatoes and when they came out they clearly weren’t even close to cooked, I asked my server to ask them to make them more well done and they refused. As the be expected, the potatoes were half raw and weren’t even warm. My girlfriend’s egg was undercooked and she ended up wasting most of it. The French toast was good, despite being blasted with a full half cup of powdered sugar. Powdered sugar seems to be their answer to everything here. Our food came out quickly, because most of it was precooked sitting in a warmer tray, which seems to be the new model here. It was all very bland and undercooked/underseasoned. I didn’t see the old guy owner around, I’m not sure if he is no longer involved or what but his absence is very noticed as the cooks really are pretty terrible here now.

Great breakfast food and the folks who work here are really sweet. My 86 year dad insists on visiting often because they are so kind to him and know him by name. Veggie Benedict and apple cinnamon pancakes are awesome!

The service is the worst - rude and incompetent. we had a party of 5 and they refused to seat us even though 4 of us were there and 1 running late. wouldn't even let us get seated to order coffee and food. the place was empty and now I know why - pass it up and go to a better, friendlier place

Really good food, quick service, staff we dealt with was awesome. Atmosphere is a bit dated, but cozy. Prices were reasonable.
