I ordered a milkshake and I sat down to eat some tacos I brought with me with the milkshake. Despite buying food from them, simply because I also had tacos, I got kicked out. Even then I would have respected the silly request if the lady there hadn’t been so condescending and rude to me. She even stood by and watched me pack my things to make sure I leave like I was a child. I will not be coming back.

I travel to Pittsburgh every other month. I bring a group of people (10-20) to the Oakland MilkShake Factory every time. We put the order on one card for reimbursement purposes. For the past several visits I've known that Hallie does not like our group, but this time she really let us know how she felt. After some clear annoyance that "it's the CMU group again", she said that we can't just show up and get milkshakes anymore - that we have to call ahead. We showed up nearly an hour before closing, took our milkshakes to-go, and tipped despite the hostility. I don't know what it is about putting it on one order instead of separately that really grinds your gears, Hallie, since I'm pretty certain you wouldn't take this attitude with individual customers (since there were lots of other people there who did not get this treatment). But congrats - I won't be coming back anymore :)

We went on March 8 for the last day of Jake’s Shakes, and they were absolutely slammed with people. Despite this, everyone was still super friendly and the shakes were quick and delicious. We really appreciated how hard all the employees were working to serve everyone despite being short-staffed due to spring break. We also had a lovely conversation with the manager about all things Pittsburgh sports. Whole experience reminded me what I love about Pittsburgh: we all come together for the little things that matter.

Milk shakes are tasty but a bit pricey. This is a franchise and prices are fixed, no complaints… The design of the restaurant gives you freshness already before having your shake. I like this place.

Bathrooms were closed 30 minutes prior to restaurant closing. When I asked if they had a bathroom, they said it's closed for the night. This is against law/ ADA requirements. This impacts the health of people.

Really nothing to complain about other than the milkshakes are SUPER sweet and rich. Place is also a little expensive but that can be overlooked.

It's a little expensive ($8 for a basic shake once you pay tax and obligatory tip or $10+ for a specialty one). Milkshakes do not come with cherry or spoon. Overall, just an average milkshake for an above average price. Ambiance and staff are great though!

I’ve never had a better vegan/dairy-free milkshake in my life me & my friend, who also got a vegan milkshake, couldn’t believe they were dairy-free! Their dairy-free menu is very small. They didn’t have “vanilla” as a dairy free option on their menu, but when I asked for it they were nice enough to make it for me . I’m not a milkshake person & i don’t even like ice cream, but I loved this!

Not just milkshakes! I can do ice cream any time of the year. I had a strawberry shortcake item. I think it was pre-made and then some items added. The ice cream wasn't freshly scooped. That was a negative for me. I was expecting a newly made when ordered dessert. It was ok outside of my complaint. They even topped the dessert with a chocolate. They sell a variety of chocolate items as well. The shakes that I saw made were large and impressive. When I return I have to try a vanilla or strawberry regular shake. If you are in the area give them a try.
