The Speckled Egg PGH Reviews
Cool for breakfast. Great location and atmosphere.
We were told by the hostess that there was another reservation for our table and that we needed to finish up! Rude and Absolutely unacceptable. And at that time we were finishing the last of our $16 wine and were pretty much done. Food was pretty good but nothing special. overpriced but probably on par for that area. The place was loud and packed . We will have never go back! The manager offered a $20 gift card ..lol .. I'd avoid it if you don't want to be rushed out.
I got the Eggs Benedict, cold brew and tumeric shot! Everything was amazing

The Speckled Egg PGH is a charming breakfast spot located inside a historic building with stunning architecture. The restaurant is situated in the rotunda of the building, providing guests with a spectacular view of the dome inside. The menu features a variety of delicious options, including the popular "I Am Kazaam" skillet with avocado, chicken sausage, and potatoes, as well as the indulgent brown butter French toast. Customers praise the dishes for their flavor and care, with some mentioning the French toast and country fried steak as favorites. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, especially helpful for those with food allergies or gluten intolerance, and they offer good recommendations. Visitors can enjoy a perfect latte or a bright mimosa made with Cava, along with excellent coffee. The grilled cheese and tomato bisque also receive high praise. While the small size of the restaurant can lead to wait times, reservations are recommended. The Speckled Egg PGH is a highly recommended destination for a memorable breakfast experience, with a fantastic atmosphere, fluffy omelets, and delicious Buttermilk Poppy Seed Pancakes.
