Have dined here before and enjoyed our experiences. This evening, had a 6pm reservation. They were already out of one of their signature soups (Scotch Broth) and an entree (Black Pudding). They ran out of lemons and mint for cocktails. At 7:10pm, heard our server promise our table to a group of 3, and she came to present us with our check with no offer of dessert. Fabulous dinner, unique menu, we had Fried Green Tomato Sandwich, Guinness Roast Beef, Fish and Chips, and Salmon, then shared the Bread pudding, all was excellent!
Great food and excellent service. We will return. A hidden gem.

The Woods House is a charming restaurant with a cozy and inviting atmosphere, featuring rustic fieldstone interior and historic character. The food is impressive, with standout dishes like Guinness pot roast Mac and cheese, bread pudding, and fish and chips. The scotch eggs are highly recommended as an appetizer, firm on the outside, tender on the inside, with a sausage wrapping with just the right amount of spice. The bisque was fantastic. The bread pudding is the best and very tasty. The drinks are creative and strong. The service is wonderful and friendly, and the owner is a gem. It is an excellent choice for a date night, girls' night out, or adults' dinner.
