Uncle Sam’s Sandwich Bar

Hi. I tried filling out the form online but it isn't working. Anyways you guys have been a longstanding part of my dining out world since you opened your waterworks specific location. However things have been going downhill. Last night was the worst. The bathrooms are often pretty dirty however I look past it as the service and food is so good. Last night we waited over 38 minutes for our food. The fries were so overcooked you could barely eat them. And the bread was awful!!!! The absolute worst. I don't know what's going on but we definitely would not be back if this is the new normal. And if it was our first time we surely wouldn't return. Had we known there was a 40 min wait for food or that the bread was not the normal we would of gone somewhere else. I even asked what was up with the bread and they said it was an issue with the supplier. I don't know if this will help anyone at all. However as a customer that has been going here since the first year and the cool tie dye shirts I would hope someone is doing something to bring back what was once awesome service and food. We didn't even finish our food or bring it home it was so gross. I can't tell you the number of friends and business colleagues I've brought to Uncle Sam's for the amazing sandwiches and atmosphere. Last night was truly a massive red flag and has me considering finding a new go to spot.

As of today, May 10th at 7:37, if you see this review, PLEASE don't come to eat here because the service is SO bad and slow and the people working look like they don't care and you just hear them laugh while customers are just waiting and waiting and they don't even apologize to you for taking forever to get their orders.

Better than subway.

I ordered a cheesecake and Italian. It was two barely 10 inches of subs for $25. Cheesecake was above average but not $25 dollars worth of food. Teasted ok, just not worth that much, in my opinion. Wint be back for those prices. That's why I rated it low.

Foods great but they have stupid policies on fries. Cant get free fries if you get it to go without paying. Got there at 8:20. Said take out only. Wouldn’t include fries. Just always say you’re eating in and then take it to go.

Great subs overall! Has a great fish sandwich during Fridays in Lent.

Rude staff and the manager let's it happen. If you like to get talked down to when ordering your food and asking for a drink, this is the place for you.

Exceptional subs made the way you like. Free fries if you dine in...be sure to buy them if you don't. Shoestring fries, crisp and slightly salty. Friendly staff.

Drove 20 min and arrived at 815 and the open sign was on. Google says they're open until 9. The workers even said 830 but told me to leave because they were closed. Love the food but this was a terrible experience.

4/5 the service really depends on the staff on shift cash only establishment but the food is usually fresh and satisfying, however the fries are pretty lackluster in terms of taste and quality , with that said I would return again and it’s a pretty good place to grab a bite to eat

I ordered the chicken cheese steak and fries, and overall, it was average. The main issue was that the chicken wasn’t as juicy as you’d expect in a proper Philly steak.

Additionally, placing the order was frustrating because the cashier had trouble understanding it

Great place , was with my son ,service is excellent ,food is delicious, staff very polite !
