One of my favorite spots in the South Side! I've been to Velum as an event host, an event attendee, and a regular customer, and Velum has been awesome every time. The owners are so friendly and clearly care about being a space for community on top of making great drinks. It's spacious with tons of things to do, and their partner food truck, Cold Friends Kitchen, has some amazing grub. Definitely a Pittsburgh staple in my book!
This place is cool but every beer I've had has been lackluster and the pinball is set to tokens rather than quarters, so you end up with a bunch a useless tokens if you don't use them all after changing up a $20 bill.
Will return to try more beers, but something is just off. Tough to describe.
We absolutely love this place! This was so much fun! :)
The beer is good. The pinball is great, but it would be nice to be able to match a free game once in awhile!
Spacious. Plenty of parking. Great drinks. Nostalgic arcade. I've enjoyed Velum as an event space on several occasions.
Great beer. Awesome facility. The blonde guy working the bar seems completely uninterested in customer service though.
We stumbled upon this on New Years Day as Pittsburgh visitors with three kids and not sure where to go. The bartender welcomed us, poured us a drink, and gave us the perfect plan for food for the kids (they don’t make food but will have a food truck or you can bring your own). There was so much to do, we had the best time. Highly, highly recommend.
Fantastic arcade with working pinball
A little bit confusing setup but good atmosphere and great sweet potato beer
Pretty good place to play pinball! Love the tomato beer. Would give the place 5 stars if the bar was easier to find and there were bike racks. Zero bike racks around the whole block!

We came for the mac mural and stayed for the vibes. It was so cool being able to walk through the property and view the equipment with a beer in hand. The beer was delicious and the arcade games were a riot. The mac art is most dope.
Rudely turned away b/c of a paid admission hot sauce festival in the main area. Asked if we could just go to the tap room & got told no, like we were idiots for even asking. Never going back to this place.
Probably my favorite brewery in Pittsburgh. Beers are great, but they always have great events well.
Nice place
Nice environment for events & pretty large facility.
