This was our first time at Viva La Vida and the atmosphere was amazing! It's probably one of the best places to celebrate a birthday! Food was amazing!
Juan was amazing!!! He made sure to tell us about the desserts and the new ones that he liked best. The drinks were perfect as he adjusted the drink so it wasn’t too sweet. He works the bar WED & THUR. I will definitely come back and request him !

This was my first time at this establishment, and I was not impressed at all. I told the waiter that we were there celebrating our birthdays and he told us that they wouldn’t do anything unless we paid an additional $35 for the birthday menu. So we did not get the celebration that we thought we would get coming to this restaurant. The waiter did absolutely nothing no singing nothing. We came to this place because of the celebrations that we always see online. I ordered the guacamole as an appetizer which was good and a pink drink, which was also good. But the fajitas I ordered were beyond lackluster fajitas are supposed to be grilled and come out sizzling. These fajitas were just bland and there was a lot of oil on the bottom of the pan. When I told the waiter that I was not satisfied with these fajitas, he goes to tell me that they have the best chefs in the world, and everybody loves the food basically arguing with me about my dissatisfaction. The meats didn’t even look like they touched a grillI. I chose not to even bother to speak to the manager because I saw the way she was treating the people that were sitting beside us, which was not very good at all such to avoid frustration. I didn’t even eat the majority of the fajitas and didn’t even bother opening the tortillas because the fajitas were so dismal. It was not worth the money I paid. Then the wings that the individual I was with ordered had hair in them, and the waiter looked at us both as if we put hair in the wings. We were absolutely appalled. The waiter was very condescending and argumentative and did not provide good customer service at all. This was such a horrible experience and those fajitas were the worst I’ve ever seen. Based on the experience with the waiter alone, I would not return here nor would I recommended to anyone.

To be honest, I was fairly disappointed with this place. I was expecting some very vibrant food after seeing all the photos and such, but it didn’t live up to the hype. I tried their quesabirria tacos and Rosa tres leches.
The tacos were a let down. Soggy, greasy, not very flavorful, not a ton of meat. Also not a ton of cheese and some sort of white more creamy item included which didn’t seem to really fit the traditional style and flavor of birria. The dipping consomme was solid, but too many onions, but solid.
The dessert was also not as great as it looked. Bit of a refrigerator flavor and not a ton of creaminess.
All in all, the place is nice on the inside and the food looks pretty good, but the flavor just isn’t quite there.

We shared amazing fajita nachos, enchiladas, tacos al pastor, and the pineapple cake. My pink margherita came with the dry ice effect so it was bubbling and smoking. Regular margs didn't have that. It's popular for birthdays and noisy, but fun. Lovely waitstaff, reasonably priced.
