the food at Wiener World is reliably good and you rarely have to wait long.
Has shrinkflation struck WW? I feel like there was barely anything to the macaroni salad and chicken salad on toast. Hopefully today was an exception because there’s plenty of other options for lunch.

It was very good, but really difficult to find. It's in an underground concourse, not visible from the street.

Great food and with long lines it moves fast. Very well priced for City Lunches

Food is good. Service on the other hand...everyone here seems miserable and has an attitude.

Food looked good in the pictures and tasted just as great! Very friendly people and not a far walk from the PPG Arena area.

Great Chicago dog, with everything right down to the poppy seed bun. They use a 1/4 lb all beef dog that is delicious and smoky and just the right amount of sport peppers. Only one star lost due to atmosphere. They unfortunately are stuck in a mega corporate basement, and aren’t located in a cool gritty 1 story. So, don’t worry if you go searching and can’t find it. It is in that skyscraper, just go inside and down the escalator. You won’t regret it!

Their Chicago dog is amazing. I come into town once a year for a conference and make sure to go there at least once.

They're a bit difficult to find now (at least for non-locals like me) as they're in the tunnel connecting the US steel tower to the subway station. You can go into the tower and take the escalator down to the tunnel or you can come from the subway station and go down a flight of stairs towards the steel tower. The location is safer than the previous one, so that is an upgrade. There are also a bunch of tables to sit down and eat, which was not available at the previous location.

Update 10/22/24: same great dog and fries, in a new harder to find location, from the standpoint of an "out of tower". :-) As always worth the visit. Fast and friendly staff. If you are looking for this place ride the escalators down to the triangle concourse.

Kind of bummed they aren't in the old location. There was a certain charm stepping back in time to a small shop like that. But I appreciate their concern for their customers and employees in staying there.

And as always,

My go to hot dog place when I visit Pittsburgh.

Best all beef hot dogs in town! Their fish sandwich is huge with excellent fish. For a real treat, try their fish in a dish with their tarter sauce. It is amazing!

How can I express my love for wiener world? Let me count the ways.

First of all, it is so wonderful to see business owners being deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of their business Denny and Melody are fantastic and clearly care deeply about both their employees and the community they serve. They are friendly and recognize many customers that come to visit, and their future plans for wiener World clearly take into account what the public wants.

Secondly, the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. It's my favorite go to lunch spot downtown and I can't wait for them to keep increasing their menu options at the new location.

Just... just go to weiner world. Do it.
