Unprofessional and Embarrassing Experience at William Penn Tavern
I had an incredibly disappointing and embarrassing experience at William Penn Tavern. Upon arriving to watch the game, I ordered a Michelob Ultra and handed my credit card to the bartender, requesting to keep the tab open. To my surprise, he refused and insisted on closing me out after every order.
I mentioned that this had never happened to me before and expressed my frustration, even saying that if this was the policy, I might leave. In response, the bartender loudly and rudely said, “If you like it, you stay. If you don’t like it, you leave and take your business somewhere else,” in front of other customers. Feeling humiliated, I walked away to finish my drink at the bar.
A kind staff member later approached me and offered to move me to the seating area, where she would serve me instead. However, when she tried to help, the same bartender intervened and told her I would not be served and needed to leave. This was the most unprofessional and embarrassing experience I have ever had at any establishment.
I hope management addresses this issue to ensure no other customer feels as disrespected and humiliated as I did. William Penn Seven should prioritize professionalism and courtesy toward all patrons.
Great Place to have Wings, Beers whatever you heart desires. The owner of this place is one of the nicest down to earth people you will meet.

Some of the best wings Pittsburgh has to offer
Absolutely perfect for a Pittsburgh experience. Watched the Steelers game here and fell deeply in love with this place…

Great, busy bar with really good food. Delicious wings and surprisingly good service even when the bar is extra crowded.

Fun atmosphere and great prices!
Wings were good, prices fantastic. If you’re going for a game they’re going to play touch tunes music over the game audio unfortunately

South Jersey Cheese Steak pretty good, onion rings not bad and portion large. Guinness delicious and service excellent. Will stop in again.

Food and service was very good. My only issue was that between the loud "backgound" music and people having to shout over it, it detracted from the atmosphere. I suppose if you're a lot younger than me, and like "loud," then this is the place for you!

We went here on a Friday night when we were in town for the Mets-Pirates series and enjoyed it so much we had to come back again on Saturday. Very friendly staff and a great draft beer selection with plenty of TVs for sports. A great hangout spot on the main drag in Lawrenceville!

Staff is disrespectful & rude. Met owner during first visit and had a great time. Was chased away by the doorman during second visit. Doorman claimed he owned the place - he didn’t.

Good food and great prices. They have daily $8 pitchers of beer. They serve fries, tots, and onion rings in huge baskets. The wings are very good. I know people who rave about the tofu bites as well. It can be hard to get a table because this place gets packed quickly. It’s worth showing up early for a game or whatever reason you’re going.
