As a Portland-based vegan, I was beginning to become seriously depressed with the plant based food selections in western Pennsylvania after only a few days out north of Pittsburgh.However, I found this spot on happy cow and decided to stop in before I left, and I am so glad I did.Not only is this a fully plant based restaurant, but their meals provide a quality balance of nutrients and are absolutely delicious! There is a parking lot across the street with curb cuts but it crosses a pretty steep street. Even with the double burger patty, it was super thin and the toppings completely drowned the flavor of the burger itself. And the bottom bun was completely soggy right when it got to my table. If you’re a person like me who likes everything to blend together, you’re probably best off getting one of their simpler options. I guess my order was just piled too high for my liking.“

“Burger was good. Slaw decent. Milk shake was good but would have been better had it not sat on the counter for 10 minutes before I got it. After the meal I ordered a milkshake to go as did several others standing around the register. The hostess jotted down the orders on a slip of paper and handed it to a guy behind the bar. I offered to pay, she declined. Said " pay at the bar." Shakes would come out and sit while the bartender tried to track down who ordered what then took payment. As the shakes say there melting. The kind that would usually have the same seat taken by a ‘regular’.There is smoking allowed in the bar, but a small dining room in the back if you prefer no smoking or non-bar atmosphere. “I’ll start off by saying if the prices were lower, I’d be giving them five stars. The burgers are honestly very good but for what it is, and the portions, I feel it’s a tad overpriced. We’re paying about the same as one of Chicago’s best burger spots, but I usually leave there full. I never leave burghers full even though I finish my burger and fries. I don’t know what it is, I think the burger is not as filling as it looks? But it’s really good don’t get me wrong lol not a big fan of their beer, haven’t had one that I like that much yet. I’m more of an 11th Hour girl. But yes good experience overall and their smashed burger was way better than I thought it would be! I also love the CYO option because I Iike to add other veggies on top of the mushrooms. Yum!“

Pump track wrap and rail trail are my favorite. I've had the best burgers ever here but they are not consistent. I think it depends on who is cooking because sometimes the are cooked to perfection, and other times they are dry and over done. But the toppings are always unique and good. Service is what you would expect from a dive bar, always friendly and attentive but let you be with your food and beer. Cool place.“

I was hesitant at first due to the price being $20 for a sandwich and side salad, along with the steak possibly being over cooked, but my worries were washed away after it arrived. The steak was juicy and tender and the sauce that it came with was to die for. The side salad was just ok and nothing special but the sandwich was definitely worth the price point and could definitely be split between two people or as a take home meal. The servers who brought the meal were sweet and very friendly! The bakery square City Kitchen dining area is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.“
