“I organized a family reunion of roughly 25 people & 1 child. I contacted Murph’s about 3 weeks before to make a dinner reservation for my party at their restaurant. It was a pleasure working with Bianca to organize and plan the dinner at Murph’s. She took special care to help me come up with a limited menu that took into consideration my party’s dietary restrictions and needs. She streamlined the process to ensure we would get our meals at about the same time and everyone would have delicious appetizers & salads to eat while we waited on orders. Once at Murph’s for our reservation, we were taken care of by two fantastic servers— Tammy and Patti. They really took care of our group! Tammy and Patti were so patient and attentive, despite dealing with some unexpected hiccups throughout our meal.I really cannot say enough great things about our dinner at Murph’s. If you’re looking for amazing service and great food — look no further. They really took care of us like we were family.Next time I’m in the Poconos, I will definitely be stopping by Murph’s and hope to run into Bianca, Tammy and Patti again. “Last time I was here The Brookside was under different ownership and that review probably would have been 2 stars. Since the new ownership has taken over they have changed some decor and brightened the place up a bit and have started doing some differently themed food days like a wing night and a southern soul food style Sundays event.The service here has been good the few times I’ve been in. I’m always greeted immediately and helped to a beverage and given a menu. I haven’t experienced any long waits to get another drink and everyone has been very friendly.This review specifically is on their wings. We were in on a wing night and got the garlic ranch wings and the Kings hot honey wings. This wing special night has a list of sauces that changes weekly. You’ll still have your staples every week but there are quite a few that rotate in and out so it doesn’t get stale. My gf loves the garlic ranch and I’m consistently trying new flavors. I also had the blackberry bbq which were very tasty, and the plain Buffalo (The OG baby) also has good flavor.These wings are nice and crispy without sacrificing the juiciness of the meat itself. They are not tiny little wings but they are also not these mammoth ones you see at some places where it’s impossible to get a proper cook on them and still have good texture.I’ll be back in soon to try out that Southern food menu, but the wings absolutely Didn’t Suck!“

“My fiance and I had Cheese burgers and fries, they were good. The waitress was on her game. Atmosphere was nice. I really wanted the chicken Marsala but the waitress said they don't serve that till 4:00pm and it was 3:00pm. Then later at the next table another waitress said the whole menu can be ordered for lunch or dinner The seating is extremely uncomfortable. And it was cold in there. When you go out to dinner you want to be comfortable. We would have stayed longer if it was warmer and the chairs weren't hard as a rock. I get the rustic theme but still can make it more comfortable. I would suggest some pads for the chairs.“
