Double Cut Steak House

Fantastic steakhouse experience, with a top notch server (Connie) that really made our meal spectacular. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and very kind staff. 5 stars in the Poconos!

In town for a conference and took a client for dinner. We sat at the bar. Service from the bartender was impeccable from start to finish! His service and the atmosphere are the positives. Now, let's get to the reality... Double Cut is pretending to be an elite steakhouse, but it is not. Its pricing is clearly due to the captive audience and not the food quality. Our $60 ribeyes were artificially tenderized and not dry aged like a fine steakhouse does, and this left taste and texture of the meat off. We could have gone to the Lonestar or Texas Roadhouse and had the same at half the cost! If I am paying $12 per side, I expect them to come out fresh and hot. My brussel sprouts were soft and on the verge of soggy, and my truffle fries stone cold. I kept it to myself until my client found the center of his baked potato uncooked. I will say the medium-rare temperature for both steaks was on-point. Too bad nothing about the food was particularly enjoyable and absolutely not worth the price paid. If you have traveled and have enjoyed elite steakhouses, heed my advice and pass on dining at the Double Cut.

Double Cut is an amazing restaurant in the Poconos. My family and I would always eat here whenever we visit Kalahari Resort... Kristen is an amazing server, she would always remember us, she makes our dining experience an enjoyable one - thank you Kristen, you are amazing!!

Our server Kristen was excellent!

Normally a good experience, but they were having an off night. Ribeye was small, not well crusted, and very rare (despite ordering medium rare). Could have gotten a better steak at The Outback Steakhouse. Hanging bacon was cold. Food came out within minutes of ordering, making me feel as if everything was premade. Will take a break from Double Cut for awhile.

Kristen was our waitress and she made our stay extra special. We had two adults and three children. We felt heard and cared for. She was very personable and I appreciated that she wasn't rushing us and allowed us to get the full experience. She made great suggestions and took care of all of our needs. My family and I don't go out often, so when we do it means alot. We got the porter house and the lamb. It was delicious. Highly recommend. The dumplings were not worth the money. I don't recommend. The crab in the California roll was blue crab. Worth it. Cheesecake was average but came free for birthday so no complaints there. Overall satisfied and would come back with family or friends. 🧡

We dined for our anniversary and it was a good experience! We've been here before; and the quality of the food is still consistently good. Our server was outstanding! The only negative is the price, however, everything is expensive. Well continue to come for special occasions.

Restaurant is beautiful but ambiance ruined by people talking on phone and crying children. Our server was amazing he even did some card magic tricks for us! The kids loved the sundae bar that they bring to your table. The food was very good except for the lobster tail- it was dry and almost flavorless. The king crab was good but not worth the price. All the steaks were delicious as was the Parmesan risotto special. Love that they have a kids menu.

Excellent dinner! Filet mignon was perfect. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts. Service was spectacular. Dinner done right.
