Drove 1.5 hours from the Pocono’s. The place is located in downtown. Came in Dec so parking was jacked with the snow. Got the Mick and The Trenton. Both sandwiches had plenty of meat but the Trenton did not have much flavor.
Loud music playing if you’re looking to eat there.
Might come back in the Spring/Summer to try once more but isn’t worth the drive unless you’re a local or driving near by.

First time getting Gazzo’s. Ordered off DoorDash and I’m always a little skeptical about the quality when ordering through them. Was pleasantly surprised. The roll was tremendous, not soggy or falling apart, delicious. Meat and cheese were great, up to par. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will for sure be getting another steak from them in the future.

Really good cheesesteak. The best one we have ever had, and honestly, the first real Cheese steak, imo. The others cant compare. Cant wait to go back, but too bad is 3 hours away.

We had heard so many great things about the food here. We ordered a cheesesteak and they sent us a pork sandwich. When we tried to call, there is no working phone. We messaged on Facebook and got called a fraud because we threw out the sandwich and the receipt. Literally, the worker from Gazzos called us a fraud. We dug through the trash to prove we ordered and produced their precious receipt. This part is actually laughable. Why would anyone make up this story?! As if we have nothing better to do with our time than to contact cheesesteak places and make stories up lol. They tried to blame Door Dash. If you are relying on DD or Uber Eats or any of those places to deliver your food, wouldn’t you ensure the correct orders are going to the correct places?! That’s just good business. And unfortunately, the pork was awful- slimy and not good. A shame their customer service is so poor.
First off - I wanted a CAN of cherry coke, yet I received a bottle instead. What kind of game are we playing here?
Second of all - I wanted a Gazzo cheesesteak - with onions and cooper wiz. I was instead given a cheese pork sandwich.
Lastly, the pork is squishy so even that is not good. At least the fries were okay. It took a long time for the uber driver to get here, took a long time for somebody to pick up the order as the time just kept getting pushed back. I am truly sickened and feel as though I’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amuck, and flat out DECEIVED. Never ordering from here again. Good day.
All my worst,
A Very Displeasured Customer

Finally stopped in yesterday. I was actually at Blue Elephant and didn't eat there because I realized how close I was to here. The manager I was speaking with was a good dude and the steak sandwich was much better than anywhere in the Reading area. Great job Gazzo's

Coming here was a ideal after looking at the reviews, i showed up and the service i got was top tier, the food itself was next-generation great but the atmosphere was pretty much off maybe because Im a Dallas Cowboys fan and there was graffiti of eagles all around the restaurant but all and all everything was great after that..... I will recommend to other if there in the area....

This is a totally Philly area experience. The steaks are good and the portions are huge! I love the Eagles and Flyers and Rocky decor. I really like the ordering kiosk because you can see up close what is in the sandwich before you order. The portions are so big that they last for multiple meals. It is a really fun and upbeat takeout dining experience. I like that they know their own worth and know that it is not worth dealing with some DoorDash shenanigans. At this place you must actually go there to try it. That's not a bad thing in my opinion. The menu choices are the classic choices from around Philadelphia. It is clean inside the store and they keep the orders moving. I have always had high quality food from there cooked fresh to order. Everything inside the store is quintessential Philly experience. I am glad the Gazzos brought a good cheese steak place to the area and to the block. Anyone waiting for a bus could pop in there and get a steak. I think it really uplifts the block it's on and is great for people using the transit system which is likely expanding to have a good place directly across from the trail and the bus and hopefully one day, the train. Then everyone will be wishing they had that location.

My son and I first encountered Gazzo's at their food truck location on Rt. 100 last year. As a born and bred Philadelphian now living in Berks County, finding a genuine taste of home proved more elusive than I ever could have imagined. We had lunch in their Pottstown restaurant this past Saturday. This is the real deal. Gazzo's gets right what so many others in the area don’t. They know that fresh sliced ribeye steak is the centerpiece of the sandwich, but the perfect crisp, seeded roll is what truly separates it from it’s outer burbs competition. The fries are as good as any you’ll ever eat and if my tastebuds aren’t deceiving me, that’s tastes like good, old school beef tallow. Just a spectacular lunch. The service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was unapologetically Philly, and the prices were fair for the exceptional quality offered.
