Wanted to try the new chicken place in Quakertown. Dave's hot chicken š was good. Get from mild to hot chicken was our grandsons favorite. They need to spend more time cleaning up after customers rather than standing around.
We paid $60 for: two tenders with fries, a chicken sandwich with fries, a 10-piece order of ābitesā with fries, a (very) small side of mac & cheese, one regular fountain drink and three small fountain drinks. That was way too much for the quality of what we received. The box of tenders came out with sauce/seasoning on top so my hands got dirty just opening the box. The tenders were served on top of two slices of dry white bread which added nothing. The chicken sandwich was supposed to have a bed of kale slaw on it but it was more like a spoonful- definitely not enough to balance out the heat of the chicken. We ordered the tenders and sandwich āhotā and felt that was accurate to what was served. The chicken itself was okay, a little dry. We ordered the chicken bites as āno spiceā for the kids and found what that means is āno flavorā as there was no seasoning whatsoever, just plain breading. They were like dry little rocks. The fries are okay, be aware they are heavily seasoned. The mac and cheese was decent but the container is tiny. The āDaveās Sauceā is pretty good- itās not hot/spicy at all. The pickles were good. The worst part of our visit was when we were at the counter ordering, one of the managers was right behind the person taking our order, and she was SCREAMING at someone in the back, at the top of her lungs, āI told you put that down!!! Put it down!!! Donāt touch it!!! When I tell you not to touch something you donāt touch it!!!!ā And that was in front of the entire staff. That left us with an awful impression. That is not the way any employee should be treated and we do not want to support a business that allows its associates to be screamed at. (And we are Gen X-ers, so trust me when I say, it was bad.) Also this is a new location and the ladiesā room toilet wasnāt working, so seems these folks need to get themselves together across the board.
