The chicken wings in this place is pretty good. The only thing I think it's a bit pricey but, I recommend anyone to go in and try it at least once. Just enjoy this guilty pleasure and the conversation of the owner. Just enjoy and don't judge a book by its cover.

I’ve been to Beckett’s a few times over the years, and while the food itself is good, the prices have become outrageous. On my recent visit, I ordered a plate with wings, greens, and baked mac & cheese, and my total came out to $28. To make matters worse, paying with a card meant additional fees were added on top of that.
When I first came here about two years ago, the exact same plate was around $17. I understand prices go up, but nearly doubling the cost in such a short time plus tacking on extra charges for card payments feels unreasonable.
The food has flavor, but the pricing and fees make it hard to justify coming back.

Great place if you want some good home cooked soul food. Chicken there is very good made fresh to order and the greens are pretty good as well. Place looks as id did for many years could use a update but why they still sell a whole Lotta food. So check them out for sure if you want a nice full belly with some good food.

Stopped and grabbed 50 wings, fries, mac & cheese, macaroni salad and potato salad. Mac & cheese was ok but everything else was fantastic. We were in town visiting and my wife recommended we come to Beckett’s and get some chicken and she said it’s just as good as she remembered! Excellent

This is my third time ordering from Becketts & I’ve lived in Reading for a year now. My food was so good, I even called to tell them personally! I beg you to not dip your chicken in anything before you try it without! Juicy with a crunchy skin is my absolute favorite. The collard greens are full of flavor & let’s not forget the sweet potato yams! I’ll continue to hype this place up anytime someone mentions Soul food. 👏🏼 🙏🏼

Hands down, the BEST fried chicken in berks county. The chicken is always fresh, crispy and seasoned to perfection. I don't even fry chicken anymore because nothing comes close to this chicken. Whenever I host a party, you can best believe that I order my chicken from Beckett's.
