This is my third time ordering from Becketts & Iāve lived in Reading for a year now. My food was so good, I even called to tell them personally! I beg you to not dip your chicken in anything before you try it without! Juicy with a crunchy skin is my absolute favorite. The collard greens are full of flavor & letās not forget the sweet potato yams! Iāll continue to hype this place up anytime someone mentions Soul food. šš¼ šš¼

Hands down, the BEST fried chicken in berks county. The chicken is always fresh, crispy and seasoned to perfection. I don't even fry chicken anymore because nothing comes close to this chicken. Whenever I host a party, you can best believe that I order my chicken from Beckett's.
I had a craving for good chicken wings and was reading the reviews on Becketts and decided to give them a try! I was not disappointed! The wings were crispy but moist in the middle making them just right for great eating! They were cooked all the way through to the bone but not too dry to chew! I had Mac and cheese as one of my sides along with greens and cornbread, extra delicious! The greens were cooked with smoked turkey not pork, a plus for me as I donāt eat pork! All in all I must say that I enjoyed this meal immensely! I have enough chicken wings for another 2 meals! The ONLY thing that would have made it even better would have been PEACH COBBLER!

Hands down the BEST fried chicken wings in the City of Reading, Pa & has been for more than 30 years. I wasnāt born in this City, but Iāve been eating these wings for more than 30 years strong. Many years ago, he used to have more tasty items for sale, but over the years has reduced it to what customers really want/need which is Soul Food. Headlined by the best fried chicken wings the City of Reading has to offer. Before I begin I must tell you that I am only here to review their wings & fries, delivery through DoorDash has only been available for a a month or so. Prior to this, itās ALWAYS been pickup. The fries are the basic straight cut fry. They werenāt over or under cooked and matched up well with the wings. The added roll is a black thing. I am black so please donāt think that was a foul statement. Most of us, myself included will not eat fried chicken without bread. It doesnāt matter if 10 pounds of fries were included in the platter. There must be ? As you can see, each piece of chicken was coated and cooked properly. There was no darker or lighter pieces. Every piece of skin on every piece of chicken was the same color. This tells me that no matter how busy they get the food quality is consistent. Please note that this place gets real busy so sometimes DoorDash isnāt available. You may have to call and place your order then pick it up. These wings were served hot which is always a plus when being delivered. Seasoned to perfection with crunchy exterior and a juicy interior. Once you take a bite, you wonāt stop eating until all of your wings are gone. Donāt even think about sharing them with a fellow newcomer. Pay the money and get everyone their own platter. Another plus was that I didnāt notice any hairs on my chicken. Now Iām not saying that your piece wonāt have any, but mines didnāt. If you happen to stop by, tell them Big Dave sent ya. My family and I are from Utah and we was in Reading visiting my son in college. We randomly chose this place off Google and I'm glad we went here. The guys were very friendly and the food oh my goodness was amazing. The only thing was the pork chops were a little dry but everything else was amazing. We got the fried chicken, chicken wings, fried pork chops, Mac n cheese, greens and fries. No complaints from us other than the pork chops little mishap but would definitely eat here again. Keep up the great cooking gentleman
