quite possibly the worse service I've ever had. Woman clearly had no idea what she was doing and was way over booked. Thats poor management. Food was decent
Food ran a little late, but it was delicious, totally worth it
It was our first time here, and it will not be our last! The food was absolutely amazing, and Megan, our server, was excellent with her timing of the courses and her service. We started out with focaccia bread with olive oil, then the fig appetizer with gorgonzola, and for our entrees, my husband had the boneless short ribs, and I had crabcakes(I took home half the meal for the next day to save room for dessert). For dessert, we had chocolate mousse cake and the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. The whole experience was well worth the price, and the drive.
Another Easter dinner at Judy's in the record books! The most delicious ham you've ever tasted. The best scalloped potatoes l have ever had, and amazing carrots and green beans, fresh! Not to mention the bread omg the bread and the best coconut cake in the universe! Thank you for having the best servers, the best menu for meat lovers and vegetarians and the best chefs! Always the freshest food and so consistent. Not sure if you know, but I drive an hour and a half just to get to your restaurant, and it is worth every minute!
Not what it used to be. For the last five or six years, we’ve been blessed to be able to still have family dinners on Friday nights. Judy’s was always a favorite. The service was slow and a little disorganized, but the food was only ok. We typically try most of the appetizers and everyone has their own “go to” favorites. This time for the first time. No one wowed about something. If I’m going to take a family of eight out and spend $500 for dinner, it has to be more than this and it used to be.
Sad ownership with a sad story and bad work ethic. Mostly a poser menu without one original quality dish. No inspiration at all
Best place in Berks! Judy takes pride in her restaurant and it shows...I could dine here every night, always on point!
We used to be regulars. Stopped by on a Friday night to find the doors locked at 8:30pm 🙁 sad. Hungry.
Food and atmosphere were fantastic. Judy is cooking her heart out - it shows on the plate. It was wonderful to meet her and have a quick chat. Amazing woman. I travel a lot and love to find the one place in a city that I want to get back to. This is now my goto place in Reading.
Saturday night with a group of 13. Crowded aisles, servers had to wait for each other to exit the aisle before they could proceed (lifting food over heads of patrons). Food was so-so to not good at all, per group consensus. VERY EXPENSIVE!! $33 in one case for a small plate of pasta, no meat. Should have checked prices before going. Another member of the party (whom I dearly love) made the arrangements. Noisy. Took a long time to order and then to be served. So chichi, so ritzy.
So long!

Lovely, comfort of home, the artwork reminds me of a visit to the outdoor Magic Garden in Philadelphia, but we were inside warm and snuggly, with delicious salmon, tiny little Brussel sprout leaves, scattered about. Perfecto!!!!
It was awesome to see that Judy's on Cherry still going strong after all these years. Our party of six All thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Braised short ribs, salmon and limoncello chicken were thoroughly enjoyed. The attention to detail of each plate was outstanding. Shannon is an attentive and awesome server. The atmosphere and decor is exquisite. Definitely will be back!
Judy's on Cherry is a hidden gem in Reading! Tucked away on a little side street, Judy's might be a bit hard to find, but the experience makes it all worthwhile. Fabulous food and handcrafted cocktails, plus friendly staff, and an arty, eclectic ambiance. We'll definitely go back!
I have been to this restaurant several times and it never disappoints. The food is always excellent as is the service and the atmosphere is cozy.
Delicious, fun menu. Great 1st course plates to share, freshly prepared and hot entrees and excellent desserts. Side salads average but entree quality make up for that.
