Judy’s on Cherry is an absolute gem in Reading! The food is beyond incredible — globally inspired with some Cuban-influenced dishes that taste like Cuba in its golden era. Rich, soulful, unforgettable flavor. You can tell this is an owner-involved business — the pride, care, and love show in every detail.
The service is fast and super friendly, and the atmosphere is warm, stylish, and cozy. The playlist? Chef’s kiss. Whoever curates the music deserves an award — it sets the perfect tone without being overpowering.
This place is a full-on experience — not just a meal. If you’re in Berks County and haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You’ll be planning your next visit before dessert hits the table. ✨

We went here on Saturday. Everyone was nice when we arrived. We ordered three appetizers, only one was good. With the menu I didn't see anything that I wanted to order. I did order a side and a salad. The salad tasted very bitter. I ordered a slice of cake which sat on the side because my waiter never came back to give it to me. After 5 minutes of the cake just sitting there, finally another waiter brought it over after he passed it several times. The cake was dry and just tasted ok This restaurant isn't for me. There also shouldn't be flies flying around.

It’s been years since I’ve had dinner here, and it makes me incredibly happy that the quality and taste has remained consistent. This is one of the few places in the area where the food has its own distinct, delicious personality. Share the apps. All of them.

Phenomenal food with such a creative, modern, & contemporary vibe. A blue & yellow theme with modern artwork available for purchase.
The food, cocktails, & dessert will not disappoint. The swordfish recommended by Judy was cooked perfectly. The blueberry pie was very unique & one of a kind. 10/10 experience.
The restrooms are another creative piece of the restaurant that should not be missed.

First time stopping here, was not terribly impressed with the menu, usually when there are only a few things to choose from, it means they have more time to focus on making those dishes amazing. Food was good, but not awesome. My girlfriend and I didn't even finish our meals and declined a to-go box. The restaurant has an nice atmosphere, and the sink in the men's room was pretty cool, but we're gonna skip this place next time we're in the area and hungry. Service was great. Food was average.

Not gluten free, although the menu has items labeled GF. I ordered an item and asked how it was fried and gluten free, and someone came over to say the menu needed to be corrected. Be very careful if you need to eat gluten free.

quite possibly the worse service I've ever had. Woman clearly had no idea what she was doing and was way over booked. Thats poor management. Food was decent

Food ran a little late, but it was delicious, totally worth it
It was our first time here, and it will not be our last! The food was absolutely amazing, and Megan, our server, was excellent with her timing of the courses and her service. We started out with focaccia bread with olive oil, then the fig appetizer with gorgonzola, and for our entrees, my husband had the boneless short ribs, and I had crabcakes(I took home half the meal for the next day to save room for dessert). For dessert, we had chocolate mousse cake and the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. The whole experience was well worth the price, and the drive.
Another Easter dinner at Judy's in the record books! The most delicious ham you've ever tasted. The best scalloped potatoes l have ever had, and amazing carrots and green beans, fresh! Not to mention the bread omg the bread and the best coconut cake in the universe! Thank you for having the best servers, the best menu for meat lovers and vegetarians and the best chefs! Always the freshest food and so consistent. Not sure if you know, but I drive an hour and a half just to get to your restaurant, and it is worth every minute!
Not what it used to be. For the last five or six years, we’ve been blessed to be able to still have family dinners on Friday nights. Judy’s was always a favorite. The service was slow and a little disorganized, but the food was only ok. We typically try most of the appetizers and everyone has their own “go to” favorites. This time for the first time. No one wowed about something. If I’m going to take a family of eight out and spend $500 for dinner, it has to be more than this and it used to be.
Sad ownership with a sad story and bad work ethic. Mostly a poser menu without one original quality dish. No inspiration at all
