It's like walking into a pub in London... a different world. Fantastic. The food out of this world, from the Scotch egg to the Shepherd's Pie. Drinks were perfect, service was outstanding. We miss this restaurant SO MUCH, especially after we had a terrible experience at Judy's. Bring back the Hen!!

The atmosphere, food, and drinks here are rare to be found. I definitely recommended checking it out. Seating is very small, which can have a cool vibe to it. The fireplace is awesome!

Delicious food! Atmosphere is amazing! Drinks are great. Cannot say enough great things about the Speckled Hen. Ambiance is so unique, wood burning fireplace... perfection! Cozy in an urban setting. Give it a go!

Went for my 24th birthday tonight and it was excellent!! The server was on top of everything and super sweet! There was 11 of us and we always had a full drink and nothing was messed up! Such a great little place in Reading! And they sat us right next to the fire place! And everything on the menu is delicious!

The atmosphere is very cozy, but my fiance and I ended up waiting an hour for our food. There are no starters that accompany a dinner entree, so I wouldn't recommend going there if you're already really hungry because you're going to wait. I wouldn't say the prices are high, but my fiance ordered the shepherds pie and the dish it came in was tiny (maybe 5" by 3") and he left hungry. I ordered the home made mac and cheese with seafood, the dish was slightly larger but in no way was this mac and cheese. It was more like oily noodles with dried out baked cheese on top of the pile of oily noodles. And I still can't figure out why this took an hour to make
