Viva Mexico: Sports Bar & Grill

We pulled into the parking lot at 4:30 pm and the sign said they didn’t open until 5:00, so we sat and waited. At 5:05 we walked in all the chairs were on top of the tables and and the staff was sweeping up the trash on the floor from the night before. She looked at us and said we don’t open until 5:00. When we informed her it was 5:00 she quickly walked us across the very sticky floor and took chairs down do we could sit. The menu was a QR code that lead to their Facebook page. I don’t have Facebook so I was unable to read the menu. We decided to do a round of drinks and go somewhere else for food. As we consumed our Mexican beer and mediocre margarita I watched the bartender clean out the drains and wipe down the mess left over from the night before.I have a feeling this is a place you go to party in the evening not a place you go for lunch/dinner.

Just had some barría tacos for the first time, and they set the bar high! Amazing! ? New cook has really turned around the quality of the food for the better.

Amazing food and very tasty. Really recommend specially the patio if you want to eat outdoors and have some drinks

Food was very delicious try the salmon and shrimp platter for sure. Drinks were very well made to my taste lol. Definitely give it a try I will be here again.

Place is really overpriced for what it is. $20 entry fee for dudes and $10 for women on weekend nights… for what is essentially a restaurant that turns their lights off and adds a DJ. $12-15 mixed drinks… in Shillington lol. Keep in mind Bev is 5 bucks to get in only after like 10pm and it’s actually a beach bar, it makes me appreciate Bev more lol. Security is thorough… which is necessary as the clientele is HOOD.

Very slow service and inattentive server. People that came in after me were served firsts. The staff socialized with friends and or the “ regulars” more then anything else. Food was just decent but portions were small. We had to ask for utensils and napkins twice. Both times they forgot the napkins.

Horrible place do not recommend! Unprofessional didn’t even greet me and my fiance when we entered. Food is wayy over priced and looks NOTHING like the pics. Place is small and crowded. Waitresses are rude as hell and dont check on you nor do they offer another drink , and in the middle of eating they brang me my check, i felt rushed to leave. Never again! I prefer Mc. Donalds ANY DAY over this horrible FAKE mexican place. What a disaster. It will definitely be closing soon.

Absolutely terrible! Everything on the menu I can make at home for much less money. Our "waitress" was slow, dressed totally inappropriate and had such an attitude problem. They really messed up!!! Miss when it was just Gino's.

I order a shrimp ceviche. Nothing like they showed on website. Waitress gave me the bill when i even finish my food and never asked me if i want another drink. When i went to pay my bill they didn't have internet so i wasn't able to pay my bill. Try on atm and intwrnet didn't worked eather. They make me wait until they decide to let me got telling me to come back next day to pay what i consumed. Never going back to this place. Never recommend it.

$20 to get in really? Our first night in this place, it was our friends birthday a group of 8 people and we wanted to have a good time there but the security told us it was $20 to get in!?!?! They just opened recently in town !??! Really?!?? We left but I honestly think if you want to get your business out there try something else first thank you! We’ll have fun somewhere else ?!

It was only 10:30pm and the manager or whoever was in charge was making comments saying he wants to close and they shut the lights off while we were sitting in the restaurant! UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL! She removed my friends drink while it was still half way without asking because they wanted to leave… there google and Facebook page states they close at 12am.I give them 1 star! Would not recommend going to this restaurant! And on top of that we had to ask for our utensils because they waiter didn’t give it to us she gave us one napkin for two people ??‍♂️??‍♂️ unbelievable!We were the only people in the restaurant at the time and we had to call for the waiter they were sitting at the bar on there phones vaping, will not be going back they need to step it up if they want to stay open! If it’s not for us customers going they won’t have any business!
