“It is a throw back bar.Ok..Ok..It a dive.! but a great dive bar! Walking in takes you back in time. I don't think there is a more laid back bar than Huie's in Berks County. Want to smoke a cigarette? You can. They don't chase you outside to smoke. It is the most non pretentious bar I have every been to. Beer prices are great. Scott, the bartender, is such a nice guy. Pretty damm smart too. Don't challenge him in Jeopardy unless you want to get your butt handed to you. This bar may not be for everyone and that's a good thing but it's good enough for me and all the other nice people who go there!! 1/2/24.. The greatest dive bar in Berks County. There are a lot of regulars and a lot if banter. If you are thin skinned or easily offended, this is not the place for you. If you come in feeling entitled or special, or demanding or complaining you won't feel that way when you walk out. Yeah, it a little clicky but it's like family when you are part of the click.“

Food was great, our waitress Mary did a phenomenal job keeping up with our party of 13 drinks and food order. April had our table reserved and even accommodated us when more people joined our party. “So, it's not fancy, but The Deck is exactly what you want when you're looking for a fairly inexpensive night out with good friends. The drinks are amazing (I've never seen so many different kinds of "crushes"... try the Orange Creamsicle - it's to die for!). Although they don't have an extensive menu, the food is good. I had the chicken taco salad and it was so yummy, plus, there was alot of it and now I have dinner for tomorrow! The Buffalo shrimp, although very small and just a little over cooked, were excellent. We actually ordered another 30 after our first 30. Did I mention that they are dirty cheap? .25 cents per shrimp, with a minimum order of 10. So even if for some weird reason you don't like them, you're really only out $2.50. But trust me, you'll like them. Finally, the outdoor dining/bar is perfect, even on a chilly night... they have heaters to take the edge off, and if you have two orange Creamsicle crushes you'll never even feel the chill, I promise - lol. Highly recommend.“

Cozy atmosphere, excellent service. The dishes are presented well. Generous servings. Everyone works together, so it's never hard to get the attention of a server.

Our server Zaire was 5 stars from the water glasses to dessert. He's a keeper.

“I usually go on a Monday for line dancing. Depending on the bartender, good luck getting a drink. The phone seems more important than waiting on customers. Great line dancing here, though. Lessons are on a Monday with dancing throughout the week. The only day that has bartender issues is Mondays. And that depends on who it is.“
