“To be honest, I’ve never had Thai food prior to coming to Mae Ploy. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff went way beyond to explain the variations they could provide for food allergies and what a novice like me should try. I’m not one to write a review unless I’ve had a great experience, and that I did. I am looking forward to returning!“

“I had the Fried Rice Basil with Beef. The food was excellent! Service is timely and friendly, and the restaurant is very clean. Definitely set up more for take out, but they do have limited seating for dine in. Must get the Thai Iced Tea (skip the soda, trust me).“

“This place is freaking amazing. Honestly, I'm not sure where to start. I also have no idea how this place isn't packed... hopefully, that changes soon. They deserve to be your new favorite restaurant! There's not a single item on this menu that's less than stellar. We are particularly fond of the golden wraps, the satay chicken, the drunken noodles, masaman curry, and the pineapple fried rice. The star of the show? The homemade taro ice cream and sticky rice, or the sticky rice with mango. Then there's the staff- kind, attentive and their suggestions are on point!! I love that they remember their guests, and were very cautious about my food allergies. Please keep this wonderful business alive for many years to come!“

Chicken Pad Thai - Good, I enjoyed it. Maybe a little more sauce or depth in the flavor is needed. I am a fan of tofu so bonus points for throwing that in there.

Drunken Noodles - This was quite nice, my fiance also enjoyed this.

Chicken Satay Skewers - Good, not the best I've had

Spring Rolls - Good

Overall, the food here is good. I can't quite say this is my favorite place but I'd be more than happy to eat here again.

SPECIFICALLY, what I'm more keen to look forward to is their dine-in experience. The aroma and atmosphere of the inside instantly hooked me when I was going to pick up my food. The inside is small but has an authentic feeling that I'm excited to experience.

“I popped in last evening while I was waiting for my dog, who was at an emergency appointment, at the Metropolitan Vet, which is nearby. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. I’m so glad I found this restaurant. I have phenomenal sushi and an amazing hibachi dinner meal. The service was phenomenal. The sushi was fresh. “We finally went to the new Pho Wayne yesterday. It was DELICIOUS. The flavor of the Pho. Muah! They had several weekly specials, including the Beef Pho, that were only $9.95! Amazing deal. We also got the Crab Rangoon that my daughter devoured. We want to go again today. I’ve been craving Pho Wayne since I woke up, but they don’t open until Noon. 😭. Feels almost impossible to have to wait for another three hours. I could eat this everyday and with the specials, I probably can. I saw the comments on the high prices for “non-special” items, but honestly feel it’s in line with what’s charged at similar places nearby. We ❤️ Pho Wayne. *I have not been incentivized for this review, but would happily take free or discounted Pho*. 😬

Update. I did go again today and the Pho was as delicious as it was yesterday. I was going to get the grilled beef Banh Mi to go but I made the BIG mistake of ordering the Shrimp Summer Roll. A TON of lettuce, a few smaller shrimp, and noodles. I should have taken Audrey’s review to heart. No cilantro or herbs. Flavorless. I am a bit annoyed I spent $9 on this. I could have gotten the sandwich for this. Thoroughly disappointed in this item. Had to change my rating from a 5 to a 4.

Yet, I will return.

Update. I did return. 3rd time in 4 days. Had a crazy day yesterday or I would have been there 4 days out of 4. Although I WISH and HOPE they’d improve their Shrimp Summer Rolls, the Pho is just the best I’ve had out here. I keep wanting to add on the Banh Mi but I’m so full after the Pho. I’m redoing my rating to a 5. For the price, especially the specials, it’s a no brainer. I think this restaurant has finally found its calling on the area and wish them the best on success. PS the Jasmine Green Tea is the best tea I’ve ever had. My daughter gets the Matcha Green Tea. The first day it came in a reusable cup which she loved. Today it came in a glass. She was hoping to start a collection she could use at home. Not a deal breaker, but a bummer for her today. 🤪

Update. Well, we’ve been back at least 8 times since my last review. I have the song “Just Can’t Get Enough” from Depeche Mode going through my head right now. Pho still AMAZIIING! I wanted to also add in that the Scallion pancakes are DELISH. Had them a week or so back (I actually was a little sick from too much wine the night before so couldn’t eat them there, but threw them in the air fryer the next day and they weee STILL great). OH the little mints they have up front are lovely. They do have them at the Hung Vuong market down the street from Pho Wayne (left hand side, UP the candy aisle towards the bottom) if interested. My daughter had to have them.
