Uma Japanese Hibachi Steak House

Lunch special hibachi meals are good.
I go there at least weekly.

We ordered sushi rolls. Miso soup was good.
Edamame was okay but wasnt salted.

The sushi rolls were below average quality. The spicy tuna was a soggy slimy mess, there was no crunch to it. As if it were made days prior. Like if you soaked bread in water then rolled it into a sushi roll. The other rolls were unbalanced without something crunchy to off set the softness. We got take out, no cups were provided for mixing the wasabi and soy sauce. The meal was almost $70 and it left alot to be desired.

We have been to some of the best sushi places in the world (like morimotos). This was probably one of the worst we have eaten at. Maybe the hibachi is better, who knows. We likely will not return. Prices are very high and the quality is just not there.

Went in at 2:30 for lunch which is about 15$ for the lunch special. We got 3. We're handed a bill for almost 100$. We asked why? He said I charged you for dinner. I said no, we ordered lunch special, your menu says 11-3:30 for lunch. He said oh well you pay dinner. It's 96$ I said absolutely not. We ordered lunch we will pay for lunch where is the manager? He said I am the manager now. The waitress came over and also said that is not how it should've been rung and he yelled at her. Saying yes you have to say you're there for lunch or you get charged dinner. She was upset. I said we come here all the time that is not how it is and he rolled his eyes and said "oh everyon come here all the time" ...I was absolutely disgusted. Another couple got up and left after ordering. This manager was horrible. He changed my bill to the lunch special like we ordered then told us to thank him for buying us lunch... I will never go back in this place with him working. The owners on the other hand are very professional and sweet. This guy is going to ruin the place. He also completely butchered our order. Didn't bring us our rice, and was hanging over our table waiting for us to finish

The sashimi is excellent and I love the tsunami,it's the garlic bulb looking item on the spoon in the picture in the gallery ..try it you love it ! I love the rolls here soft shell crab ,angry bird,volcano ..to name a few ..I am treated like family when I come here for an afternoon treat and drink or dinner ..spectacular food and great service ..

Alright so every time we tried to go it has always been super packed. Today after work, I decided to treat the kids( I have 6) to one last good meal before school starts. The kids couldn't decide what kind of sushi they wanted. So I told the server just pick one and that's what they will have as their app. Never came and when my son asked about it, he said we never ordered it lol but I literally told him like 6 times just pick a sushi so they can stop arguing. Anyway, the cook guy comes out and does a decent job. While I eat, I pull out 3 long black hairs (I'm blonde lol) I didn't say nothing cus my daughter has social anxiety and would cry if I said anything. Well when we get to the car, I tell them about the hair. My one daughter says she pulled out one long black hair and was too afraid to say something. My other daughter said she pulled out 6 hairs but was too afraid to say anything and my son said he saw us all pulling hair out of our food and was wondering y none of us said anything lol $160 for hairy food lol it's always packed there so it gotta be good, we just had a bad experience so we won't be going back again.
