“So many good things to say about the Elks and this Lodge. You feel part of something that’s bigger than yourself. It’s a charitable organization that supports the community in a myriad of ways. There are a lot of opportunities to be of service and support the lodge and it’s efforts. Beyond that, it’s a place for family and friends where a lot of fun happens on the weekend. Live music, games (like music bingo), pool tables, duck pin bowling and more. We’re lucky to have the former chef @ Kegals Seafood, so the food is phenomenal. “Rumplebrewskin’s (or Rump’s as the locals call it) is our local bar that we go to at least once a month. The vibe is super low key and laid back, and the owner and staff are attentive and nice. It’s our go-to place when we don’t want to make the trek to downtown Lancaster. Their cheesesteaks are also pretty good!“

“This has become our go-to for drinks and small plates. We have come multiple times for drinks, and ended up staying for dinner because of how enjoyable it is. The vibe is low key, speakeasy. The overhead lights could be dimmed, but we find this is the case at most Lancaster spots. It’s a great date night or place to come with a couple friends. We usually don’t have trouble getting a table but can get busy on the weekends so arrive early. We loved the mussels, oysters, lobster risotto and steak. Their cocktails are all top notch. My husband and I came at the suggestion of an inn keeper as we were in town for a show. I sheepishly told her that we don’t drink beer, only wine. “After numerous people recommending John Wright, my wife and I decided to give it a try for our anniversary dinner. We did make a reservation. Everything was excellent - from the time we walked in til we walked out. Our server was very friendly, attentive and knew the menu well. The crab and corn risotto starter was absolutely delicious. I could order just several of those and be happy. I had the crab stuffed Mahi Mahi - it was so good, I was sad when it was gone haha. My wife had the seafood manicotti. Another fantastic dish we'd order again. The dessert was a light but mouth watering cheesecake. We can't wait for a little warmer weather to dine outside. The view of the river is great from inside but even better when we walked out to the patio.“

The food included the Philly Special Pizza and a Pineapple Bourbon Chicken Sandwich special.There was about a 30 minute wait for a table, but given the quality of the food the weight was well worth it.At Mad Chef (similar to many breweries) you need to order both brews and food at the cashier desk, but the food is delivered to the table.“

“I am absolutely impressed with this place. I’m currently pregnant and really struggling to find things that I enjoy to eat. Meat has been one of the things that I’ve been struggling with. I saw the balsamic glaze chicken on the menu and decided to ask the waiter if it was good and to describe to me what it tasted like since I worried about it being dry and me possibly wasting my money. The waiter mentioned my situation to the chef, Nestor, and the chef proceeded to come out, and asked me exactly how I would like it. He made a glaze and came out with it to let me try it which shocked me. It tasted AMAZING!!!! “This was our first time dining at Lancaster Dispensing Company. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was great, and the food was wonderful. The menu is large and varied. Everyone of our party of four was happy. We had appetizers, dinner, dessert, and drinks. We will definitely be coming back.“

“This is one of our regular breakfast location spots. Bring a jacket, especially on cold days because there seems no way to avoid the draft. Also, don't sit near the bar door because sometimes you smell smoke wafting in which is unpleasant. All of this said the wait staff is friendly and prompt. The menus are on the table. “I'm from north jersey and we come to Lancaster once a year. We came here on a limb because we couldn't find something that wasn't a chain that was open for lunch besides pubs. “I have been coming here regularly since they opened, so have probably been here 25+ times. Their brews are good as well as their panini sandwiches, sliders and small bites such as cheeses. The Gouda cheese tray is pictured. I guess I ate my sliders too quickly to take any this time. They use all locally sourced ingredients, which is a plus. They used to have music here a lot, but it seems in recent years the owners may be focusing more on their expanded locations to Lancaster and ironspire. They have added to the rear area of their brewery recently as well as added additional outdoor seating for warmer weather. When it’s nice, I like sitting outside here, although that may invite some Columbia characters to stop for unwanted chats, so be aware of that.“
