Alliger's is my favorite place for wings, we drive 45 miles in from PA for these wings and they are the best wings I've had outside of Buffalo. Place seems a little understaffed, bartenders have to help wait tables, had to wait a bit and eventually had to go to the bar to ask for a to-go box and the check so we weren't sitting waiting all night to leave.
Management needs to hire more people for their busy times or get on the floor and help also, the wings are so amazing that this place could be really special and go to the next level with service getting better.
This is clearly staffing issue, the staff is very friendly, just clearly overworked.

Great flavor sauces but they will ABSOLUTELY not make them crispy for you. I cant stand loose, chewy wings and even if you tell them xxxcrispy they come out same as every other time. Ive been here 5or6 times and its been same thing. Great sauces but who cares if the wings are slimy and zero crisp yuck. If they were take out id understand but I ate them everytime straight from the kitchen after begging bartender to please make extra extra crispy, really how hard is it to do that? 2dozen minus the 5 slimy ones I could eat is such a waste save your 40bux people and go somewhere that will leave your wings in the basket for few more minutes!

Meh, can't comment on the wings, never had them, but I did ask for a chicken spiedies salad and was given the wrong one so had to wait another 20 minutes. I ended up eating some steak fries while waiting, and I could squeeze the oil out of the fries.🤢 Salad didnt taste like spiedie sauce honestly. I might give it another go but just order wings.

Been thinking of stopping every time we have to go to Guthrie. Today we finally stopped for lunch. So glad we did. Service was excellent and the wings were amazing. Will definitely stop again soon.

They told me 30 mins for my food when I got there I waited another 10 when I was given the food it felt room temp opposed to being hot which is weird when I ordered wings, got them home and they were just terrible. Alligers use to be the place to go back in the day but lately any more the service is pretty rude and the food not worth the buck unfortunately.

Meet my wife in the military in 1982. Came to Waverly to meet her family. I was hooked. We now been married for 41 years and together for 43 years. And even though we don't live in the area. We make a special occasion to stop in and have some of those awesome wings and deep fried cauliflower each time we pass through. 😋 Truly glad some things never change. Hope I have it in me to make it at least 20 more years.
