“I just moved to the Scranton/Dunmore area from New York City. I was looking for a local place to “hang my hat”. After trying several local establishments, someone told me I should try Crotti’s on Ash. I met Sheila, the owner, who is fantastic about managing, serving and booking the bands for the place.
I walked in on a Monday night and saw Clarence Spady playing a rendition of “Hey Joe” that floored me. If you don’t know who Clarence is- Google him. I’ve been coming back ever since. Every band or person that plays here is extremely impressive and high quality. Coming from NYC, it’s difficult to impress me but everything about this place is awesome. The people here are warm, good-hearted souls that make everyone feel welcome- Even a displaced person from New York City!“

“We happened upon this restaurant while we were visiting Scranton for the Italian Festival. We walked in on Sunday afternoon and the bar was open and they allowed us to have a drink and cool off. After speaking with Jennifer about a reservation for later in the evening she put us in touch Benny, the owner. He said they could accommodate our party of eight for a 6pm reservation. Angelica was our primary server but others, including Benny jumped in a gave us a great experience! All of us walked away with one of the best restaurant experiences we ever had. And the crazy thing is with the festival going on right outside their doors and being crazy busy they did an exceptional job making sure we always had a beverage and communicating with us! Was our final night in Scranton and it was by far the best night! Thank you all and definitely recommend this place to anyone!“

“The food took over 2 hours to come out. The waitress seemed clueless. Not very attentive or showed any concern. The best part was they brought out 2 meals for our table and then came back and said they delivered it to the wrong table! One of the two Mac and cheese bowls was being eaten at that time. They took the "untouched" mac and cheese back to the kitchen. Waitress came back out within 2 minutes and served it to the correct table 🤯 Also there was a hair in my French fries. The ambiance is cool. I don't think the food was out of this world. I would never go here again, sadly.“

“Went here on a recommendation from a friend who happens to be a bartender at La Rosa. We were definitely impressed! From our greeting when we went in, conversation at the bar, then promptly being seated everything was perfect. After ordering our food was delivered very quickly. Great portion size and very tasty. Good enough that we chose to I’ve tea our meals and bring dessert home. 😁 Nothing about this visit disappointed and we are already planning a return visit in a couple weeks with some family. “I have dined here several times and the food was awsome. I had the crabcakes. I was really excited to see two large crabcakes. I was a little confused as why they would serve with mashed potato's but I went with the flow. Honestly they were the worst crabcakes ever. No taste. All breading!. Insult to injury..our server took my plate back and I heard nothing! Not the servers fault.. he was awsome. I will not be back because chefs should stand behind their food.“
