The weird one thing I look for to tell if it’s a legitimate Chinese restaurant is something that reminds the owner(s) of home. There’s a huge lit picture of Hong Kong and Kowloon Harbour (taken from the top of Victoria Point) on their wall. They’re Cantonese, and the quality of the food shows their pride in where they’re from. You’re getting the closest thing to authentic Cantonese this side of the ferry to Mui Wo.
The food is very good and reasonably priced. Whenever we get Chinese food we go there.

Great Wall Chinese Restaurant offers delicious food with generous portions, perfect for leftovers. The restaurant maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and polite, ensuring fast delivery. Customers have praised the fantastic meals and quick service, making it a popular spot for Chinese cuisine in Scranton.
However, some customers have noted occasional issues with their orders. While the fried dumplings are larger than expected, they can be doughy, and the filling may lack flavor. The Singapore meifun has been described as under-seasoned, with the noodles appearing bland compared to the cooked veggies and meat. The house special soup received positive feedback for its great broth and ingredients, though some felt that the imitation crab affected the texture.
Despite recent complaints about smaller portion sizes and price increases, many still consider Great Wall a go-to choice for Chinese food. Overall, it remains a favorite for those seeking good meals and a pleasant dining experience.
