This place is a true hidden Jem !
Stayed here for a week to for 4 months and now looking forward to another few months.
What a neat place to stay in Sellersville! We absolutely loved the room, the cozy bar, and the dinner was phenomenal! I could not recommend this place enough and will definitely look for an opportunity to return.
We set out to have a quiet dinner and a good concert for our Anniversary. It turned out, instead, to an event we will never forget. First, the restaurant/hotel had specialized menus with our names on it(classy touch). Next the food was phenomenal and the service top notch. They timed our courses perfectly so nothing was ever cold and everything was great. After dinner we headed up to the concert, had a great time and came out to a dead vehicle. After multiple attempts to restart we decided to stay the night at the hotel. Best decision we ever made. The staff was incredibly accommodating considering the time of night. We were able to get in and get a room incredibly quick. The room was pretty good, the only thing we would change was the size of the bed. That's what happens when my wife picks the accomodations and it's a known family thing, my fault. We woke up to a great complimentary breakfast which we chose the night before. Everyone was aware of our situation and so very helpful. The car did start after breakfast and we were able to make our way home. The staff and management of the Washington House are so kind and so helpful. Thank you for such an awesome experience. We will be coming back.
Very nice place to enjoy dinner. The menu was delectable and I look forward to trying it again if I'm in the area. However, it's not really near anything so driving from New Jersey was a trek.
Excellent seasonal menu. Staff was very friendly and on their game. Above expectations!
Lovely historic hotel! The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. We enjoyed our meals. Nice variety of menu options. We had good conversations with the friendly staff. Right next to the theater, so easy to enjoy the show.
The Washington House Hotel and Restaurant in Sellersville, PA is a genuine gem — the kind of historic property that reminds you why small‑town hospitality can still outshine big‑city polish. My husband surprised me with an overnight stay for Mother’s Day, and from the moment we arrived, the experience delivered charm, history, and truly memorable food.
We began with lunch in the hotel pub. I ordered the salmon with baby potatoes, and my husband went classic with chicken fingers and fries. Both dishes were beautifully executed — properly seasoned, cooked with intention, and plated with care. As a chef, I’m not easily impressed by simple preparations, but when something is done well, it shows.
After lunch, we attended an afternoon show at the theatre next door — a wonderful convenience — and returned to check into our room. Check‑in was seamless, and the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was surprisingly spacious, featuring a full living room area, a king‑sized bed with end tables, a desk, and a cut little nook, perfect for reading or a glass of wine. the bathroom was modern but accented with charming old‑fashioned fixtures that preserved the building’s historic character. It struck the perfect balance between updated comfort and preserved heritage.
Dinner that evening was the highlight of the trip. We had reserved a table when booking (a wise move), and the dining room’s ambiance was charming and elegant without feeling pretentious. I started with the shrimp in pesto and followed with the Lamb Bolognese over pappardelle. My husband had the Short Rib entree and let me say this with complete confidence: The kitchen here knows exactly what it’s doing! The flavors were layered, the seasoning was spot‑on, and the execution was exceptional. I’m a chef, and I’m not an easy person to please when it comes to food, but this meal was genuinely outstanding.
Before heading home the next morning, we enjoyed the included breakfast- a delightful surprise we hadn’t expected. It was a thoughtful touch that rounded out an already wonderful stay.
The Washington House is the kind of place where history, hospitality, and culinary skill come together seamlessly. If you ever have the chance to book a stay, I highly recommend it. It’s rare to find a property that gets both the lodging and the dining right, but this one does... beautifully.
The food was not good all around for the Mother’s Day special. Would highly reccomend going to the William Penn inn instead . The waitress had very minimal experience and the food was so tasteless and honestly pretty nasty I was surprised
We had a lovely anniversary dinner. The restaurant included special touches. We had complimentary glasses of champagne and the menu had a personalized anniversary message. It was a great meal in all ways.
We went for our Anniversary and were greeted with personalized menus and champagne. Everything was just perfect.

Dinner and show!! Erin our server was splendid. Very good wine list. Allow yourselves two hours so the enjoyment of the night can be mastered. Crab tostada duck with a blackberry topping delivered. Not many places know how to cook duck, Washington House's chef did an incredible job. Cheers!
Always a wonderful experience at the Washington House! Excellent food, great service, friendly wait staff! Bonus was the personalized menu and complementary dessert for our anniversary. Highly recommend Washington house for a delicious meal and especially for a special occasion.
Have a great dinner before a concert next door at the Sellersville Theater....very limited number of rooms....old historical building....service is great
We had a wonderful dinner at Washington House. We saw a great concert and stayed overnight. A lovely weekend getaway.
First time there my wife and I really enjoyed the meals. We would come back again when we go to our next show at the Sellerville theater. Only one issue and that's with the parking. It can be hard to find a spot.
