“Just wanted to give a shout out to Railroad House and their staff. April, Manager Adam, and our waitress Mary were super accommodating on helping us celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Food was great, our waitress Mary did a phenomenal job keeping up with our party of 13 drinks and food order. April had our table reserved and even accommodated us when more people joined our party. Adam checked in on us thru out the night and even brought the birthday girl a shot.Thank you all!! Highly recommend. If you come in with a large party, call ahead and they will take care of you.“

“Just moved into the area and Mari’s is going to be the place to go for me. I love trying different beers more than getting a lot of one particular beer. Mari’sis the only beer store I’ve seen where virtually everything can be found in a single. Most places take the more expensive craft beers and keep them in 4/6 packs but at Mari’s you can either get that or buy a single can or bottle. It’s genius really. I’m way more likely to buy many singles than spend $20 on a craft four pack I may not like and the selection is pretty great as well. Awesome store.“

“It is a throw back bar.Ok..Ok..It a dive.! but a great dive bar! Walking in takes you back in time. I don't think there is a more laid back bar than Huie's in Berks County. Want to smoke a cigarette? You can. They don't chase you outside to smoke. It is the most non pretentious bar I have every been to. Beer prices are great. Scott, the bartender, is such a nice guy. Pretty damm smart too. Don't challenge him in Jeopardy unless you want to get your butt handed to you. This bar may not be for everyone and that's a good thing but it's good enough for me and all the other nice people who go there!! 1/2/24.. The greatest dive bar in Berks County. There are a lot of regulars and a lot if banter. If you are thin skinned or easily offended, this is not the place for you. If you come in feeling entitled or special, or demanding or complaining you won't feel that way when you walk out. Yeah, it a little clicky but it's like family when you are part of the click.“

“Stopped in to get info on joining. They were very kind, have is she there information we needed and allowed us to stay and have a meal at the bar. There was a live band, an older crowd and the crab bisque was incredible. Membership is less expensive if you're over 35, and don't expect to see many people there under that age. It's a nice change from other local spots; more refined, more mature crowd, and no crazy shenanigans. Great place to take the family for dinner, and they also offer corporate memberships for businesses.“

And you can do your laundry next door! With a personable, caring owner who is there day in and day out? This is the epitome of a neighborhood bar. The jukebox is great as well!
