I was there 8/2 to grab my family lunch. I spent $42. I left a tip and did not even get a thank you.

When we got home I opened up or food and the small cheesesteak was lacking meat. Was definitely no worth the money spent.

Poor attitude, poor service, poor quality. Disappointed in the low standards.

I love the Cheese Steak specials. I was disappointed when I ordered a side salad with a dressing, well got to the quiet place that I love to take a break at, No salad dressing. How can someone forget to give salad dressing.

These are the best cheesesteaks in Berks County. I think they are far and away better than the much-hyped Philadelphia cheesesteaks.

I ordered a LARGE Homeland Italian sandwich, with lettuce tomato onions, sweet & hot peppers. With mayo and vinegar. When I went to pick it up I asked in a joking manner if it was cut in half since many places in Berks count don’t. The young man said , “oh was it on the order slip to cut it in half”? So he cut it for me, but said, “we usually don’t cut them in half”. Mind you this young man was very polite and was just shocked I asked for it to be cut in half.
But when I got back home, I opened it up. And boom. No tomatoes, no peppers and a few slivers of onions. I Called to notify about the issue and they asked if I could return the sandwich (which was perfectly fine because I only want what I pay for) and they’d remake my sandwich. Well the second was skimpy but with a little more lettuce and the missing peppers. Let’s just say I miss the days when a large was a large and you didn’t have to ask for a LARGE to be cut in half.

I called to place an order. I asked the person on the phone, if I order Burgers well done, can you make them well done? He assured me that he could. I emphasized that I wanted the burgers burnt. As well done as possible. I am not lying or exaggerating when I say that the burgers were just short of rare. And possibly were rare since they looked pinkish. They were so undercooked that you could not hold one without it falling apart! I asked for Fry's extra crispy! I guess their idea of extra crispy is to just double drop freeze that were already made! Half of them were crispy and the other half were like noodles. I could again not exaggerating, squeeze oil out of them, even the crispy ones! I emphasize that I am not exaggerating about this meal that I spent good money for and tipped $5 for. Boy do I regret that $5 tip! Okay, actually was $4 and change! But the real kicker is when I called and relayed all the information I just said here, the guy, who told me he was in charge, said to me, what do you want me to do to make it right? First off, when in the Food Service business, you don't ask the customer what they want, you just offered to replace the meal, instead of making them look like they're trying to get something they don't deserve! He said I assure you one of the managers, even myself, will make sure that your burgers are Done Right Next time. I said do I have to pay for them(since he didn't offer)? He told me they can only reimburse 50%. I said are you kidding me. He said well if you drive back out here on this nice cold night will reimburse 100%. I told him I will never be back to v&s again and hung up! So, for my troubles, I got a bite of burger and ate half the fries before I started feeling sick about all the oil. It had been a half a year since I was there because something similar happened the last time. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me! Guarantee I won't be Fooled Again!

The Italian subs are great....BUT ! can't believe you're closed now on a Sunday?!...That's a big football day on TV!.. plus families take a drive, can stop in for food, gives Mom a break...bad decision to be closed and a lame excuse about management issues...why not close on a Monday instead

I got an Italian that wasn’t too bad and also got ham and cheese for my wife. She took a couple bites and said she wasn’t going eat anymore because it was terrible so I tasted it and threw it away. It’s the worst sandwich’s I’ve ever gotten. Never going there again. Oh, the rolls must’ve been hanging around for a while, they weren’t fresh at all. Garbage

Their cheese steaks are the best. The cheese is melted into the finely chopped steak. Great proportions for the price.
