Bonfire Old Fashioned BBQ

Recently planning Cuban sandwiches, I walked over to Bonfire (only 10 minutes away) to purchase a pound of pulled pork. The meat was excellent and the service outstanding. When they found out I was walking back home they carefully insulated and bagged my food. It got home still very warm despite the cold January weather!
We will be going back!

Bonfire Old-Fashioned BBQ absolutely delivers. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish, the kind of place where you actually feel glad you stopped in.

The barbecue was outstanding. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. You can tell this isn’t rushed or mass-produced BBQ. It’s the real deal.

Between the quality of the food and the great service, this place stands out. If you’re looking for excellent barbecue and a spot that knows how to treat customers right, Bonfire is a must-visit.

This was an amazing meal. The cornbread is the best I've ever eaten. The brisket was absolutely perfect; tender, flavorful and a generous portion. The BBQ sauce is so good as well. Lastly, the deep fried cornbread with homemade maple bourbon pudding is to die for. The owners came out to speak with us and treated us with the cornbread. We cannot wait to come back.

The food and atmosphere were incredible!!! Staff was super friendly and even offered to take pictures of my family with Santa. Our little guy was even given a bonfire teddy bear! Can't recommend this place enough!

Prefect place for BBQ. Went on a Monday and we all know Mondays aren't a busy BBQ day and yet the food was perfect and delicious.

You won't find a better place to eat. whether you go to their restaurant or you get food catered it's the best food you've ever eaten. Not only is the food magnificent but so are the people. The owners are incredible and make everyone who walks through the door feel welcome. They recently catered our wedding and our guests couldn't stop talking about the incredible food and people serving it. We love this place!

Amazing find. My celiac son was looking for a restaurant that was different from the usual GF choices in the area. We stopped and came in. Our waitress immediately talked about the safety and the cautions they take to prevent cross contamination. Then the owner came out and identified the table to make sure the kitchen prepared his order safely. The food came out quickly and truly was phenomenal. I had a fish sandwich that was huge. My celiac son had ribs and plenty of choices for sides. In laws had a brisket wrap and pulled chicken sandwich. Service was beyond anywhere we've been recently, the staff stops by tables not assigned them and the result is a restaurant that is busy but you wouldn't know it. Everyone gets service. If there is one downfall it is that they are an established catering business and are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Great restaurant all the way around!!

Our Women’s Ministry catered lunch with Bonfire. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all!!!!
Best of all, the kindness and generosity showed to us by their service is almost unheard of today. We would most definitely recommend Bonfire!

I used to say that there were very few good restaurants in State College.... Well now there's one more that's bringing up that number. I've never had a better bowl of chilli than here! Awesome, lean, and tender brisket, and so many good sides it's hard to choose! Reasonable prices and generous portions! Worth every bite!

This family run restaurant serves the best BBQ in all of Central PA. If only they were open on Saturdays! The Pulled Pork is very moist and Broccoli is succulent. My favorite is the Fried Chicken Dinner...Amazing! And they serve The Best Coleslaw I've ever had since my mom and dad ran a fish and chips restaurant 50 years ago. My mom would have been proud of this Cole Slaw! Love you guys!
