Bonfire Old Fashioned BBQ

I used to say that there were very few good restaurants in State College.... Well now there's one more that's bringing up that number. I've never had a better bowl of chilli than here! Awesome, lean, and tender brisket, and so many good sides it's hard to choose! Reasonable prices and generous portions! Worth every bite!

I started off doing a tasting for my wedding and soon after needing a job they took me in. I was blown away by their great food,and hard work and dedication they all put in to make Bonfire old-fashioned Bbq what it is. It shows by the food and appreciation and service they give to each and every costumer. The food is mouth watering so good you won't be sorry the service is outstanding the best. I give Bonfire old-fashioned Bbq 100 percent my vote for catering, takeout, dine-in you name it. Thank you Glenn, Andrea,Josh for the job experience and catering my wedding you're the best💕

My wife went to pick up our order. The girl working carried the bags etc to the car which I thought was a nice gesture. We got Pork dinner, 1/2 rack Baby Back Ribs, Green beans, baked beans, potato salad. All of it was incredible. Meat was tender. Bbq sauce has a great flavor(Ghost Story is hot but good). Recommend!!!!

Bonfire catered our work event and the food was a hit across the board! The team was incredibly responsive and answered all of my questions. They even provided recommendations and helped me customize a package that worked for us.

Good food, good service, and clean establishment. Try the fried cornbread. Just make sure you enter through the door marked exit. ;)

AMAZING! They catered our PSU tailgate and absolutely everything was delicious - brisket, chicken, pulled pork, corn bread, baked beans, mashed potatoes and, of course, mac and cheese (phenomenonal). Highly recommend this friendly and talented team.

Brisket dinner with side of mac & cheese and beans. Brisket was sliced thin, piled high, tender and flavorful. Chose the barbecue sauce (red) and it was deliciously zippy. Mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy. Beans were not particularly a standout, but were good—I would try a different side at a future visit. Cornbread was good, not unique. The brisket was the star.

Service staff were great, all smiles and eagerness. Very busy lunchtime and they kept things moving. Kept our iced tea replenished. Checked in with us often. A couple of different service staff checked in, too.

We would go out of our way to stop here again when in the area.

Fantastic BBQ right in the heart of State College! Great brisket, amazing ribs, and portions that definitely fill you up. Some of the most friendly staff and incredible people I’ve met here. Glenn is an outstanding guy and will make sure you are well fed. Definitely worth stopping in if you want authentic BBQ and if you’re up for it try their ghost sauce!

I have a food allergy and out of all the places I have been to, this was THE BEST when it comes to accommodation. They made sure to keep my meals separate and protected from cross contamination. Absolutely amazing service!!! I plan on coming back!!!

Today Bonfire Old Fashion BBQ had an unfortunate accident to their building. But this did not stop them from still providing food for Century Engineering office luncheon at 12:00pm today. The food was AWESOME my staff loved it. Will definitely be having them cater more luncheons for me.

Bonfire catered our wedding and from start to finish ALL of the staff was extremely helpful and nice. The food was AMAZING! We received so many compliments on the food choice. I highly recommend Bonfire BBQ!!
