One of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. Both the cheesesteak and fish and chips were extremely salty—so much so that they were difficult to eat. Poorly prepared and served without care. A complete letdown.

I came in as a banana on banana crawl night and they charged me $5 cash even though I had the banana costume pass. They ended up kicking me out because I didn’t “tell them” that there was no soap and paper towel in the women’s room. I went to the men’s room sadly I did not know that was unacceptable and they kicked me out. I am a kind soul and feel like this was very extremist. May I add that there are routines for cleanliness, especially at a place that sells food and alcohol, if these resources always run out, then it’s their job to fix it without someone going to “tell them”. They said if it was reverse, men going into the women’s room, that would be unacceptable. It wasn’t reverse, and what happened to gender neutrality???

Terrible, unwelcoming employees who don’t care about bringing in business- even on family weekend! PARENTS AND FAMILIES- Save your money and put it toward a better more inviting establishment.
My family and I came to PSU for family weekend to visit our freshman and see his new home. We TRIED to come here for a drink and some food around 630pm. We were turned away at the door because the bouncers didn’t accept my 70 year old grandmother’s senior citizen ID because it “wasn’t a US issued ID”.……..let me repeat that again. ….THEY TURNED AWAY HER SENIOR CITIZEN ID……..Idiots. They told us it was the managers policy that anyone over 21 has to have a US issued ID (hers was from the Philippines) but they were willing to see her passport, which we left at home for safe keeping. The irony is, they said my 18 year old brother (who could easily pass for 21) was fine and didn’t need to show his ID because he was with our parents. I should’ve told them my grandma was under 21 but with her legal guardians, maybe they would’ve let us in that way. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

In all, I don’t feel like we missed much anyway because from the other Google reviews, sounds like the service inside the cafe is just as terrible as at the door.

I loved this place during undergrad so when I came back for Homecoming this was a guaranteed stop for me! The pitchers were just as fun as I remember and the skillet fries and wings are still a hit 🔥 This will always be a State College staple 💙

Nice place once you get in. On a football Friday, you can wait 90 minutes in line or pay the $35 cover.

Reliving college days, listening to live music on the back porch, drinking good cheap pitchers, and eating surprisingly good food; what’s not to love?

This was my hangout back in my college days. I was in town for a work event yesterday, and I got a decent-sized group of us to come here to hangout and have dinner.

Our server was awesome- very attentive and accommodating. We had people coming and going in our party, and she was so gracious with us. I wish I got her name to mention her specifically.

We stayed for a few hours, and the atmosphere was awesome. I loved the updates they have made with the front windows that now roll up to allow a breeze to flow through the space. It’s nice when you would like the outdoorsy feel without having to sit outside.

Everyone was relaxed and having fun. This is a place I have recommended to many people who are visiting State College and don’t know of good eats and drinks in the area, and it will continue to be. Thanks, Café 210, for always being a “must visit” when I visit town!

It's a college bar & they cater to the audience. We arrived in town around 2 & were starving but I wanted to sit outside. There are not many places with that as an option in town. It was also summer so everything is a bit quieter. The still serve alcoholic ice tea drinks in pitchers. Fortunately they are relatively weak but you can't drive after one. They have them in many flavors & colors. They also have an impressive beer selection. The menu is basic pub fare. My cheesesteak was tasty. It rivaled Philly. We met the "new" owner -- OK new since I went to school there may moons ago. He shared how much fun he was having running the place; he's a musician. I made sure to compliment the afternoon bouncer who was in earshot because even with a full head of grey hair that proved I graduated about 10+ years before the bouncer was born, he still carded me because it was his job to card everyone.

55 days is a scam

Disappointed writing this because I always come here as an alum to bring friends and family here who have never been to Penn State before.

I visited over Blue and White weekend and ordered 2 tea pitchers, and left my tab open thinking they'd just charge the tip at the end of the night when they close the bar.

My mistake thinking they'd be honest. They added extra items, my guess thinking the tabs left open are people who are too drunk to remember what they ordered. Scumbag move.

And no, no one ordered on my tab. My last name is incredibly uncommon and even harder to pronounce right the first time reading it.

0/5 AWFUL MANAGER AND CHARGED FOR OTHER PEOPLES FOOD. Grabbed a table that had just cleared out with a bigger group of 8 friends. Ordered food expecting the check at the end of the meal. Did not see the server for over an hour before having to stand up and grab him. Was charged for over $20 worth of food that was not ours and must of been the people before that never closed out their tab. Spoke the manager Jim HIbbert who was extremely rude, unprofessional, and demeaning. Tried to explain that we absolutely did not put our card down before ordering and that part of the food on our table was never ordered nor delivered (again was definitely from the group at the table prior) He told me I was lying and to “dispute the charges on my card and have a good night” and then walked away after yelling at me and speaking down to me. Left the restaurant disgusted and distraught. That interaction is something I will never forget and that manager was absolutely awful. No professionalism and on an obvious power trip in a college town. Will never be returning

Sitting outside. Waitress told us in the 70 degree direct sunlight they could put down the awning to give shade but the manager was a little busy. After waiting an hour and a half, a friend going to the bathroom heard the manager say “if they want shade they can sit inside”. Awful management, pretty great service and servers. Sad to set that example for their customers and workers as a leader but that’s business I guess.

Horrible service, non-lenient for even slouching, these people don’t even know the difference between a sober and drunk person. Again, horrible and pathetic, never want to go there ever again.
