Was there for a working group luncheon. We had a room in the back for 20 people. Our server was excellent, the sliced steak sandwich was exceptionally tender and tasted great, and had a great ambiance. Will visit again the next time I find myself in the State College area.
It’s rare to find good service in State College but Josh was a great server. He checked up on us and gave us refills — our glasses never went empty. He was very kind, even with having to deal with a group of 6 younger students who were very rude and obnoxious. I applaud him. It was extremely busy and he still was able to be attentive to us.
The food was good, but the hospitality was excellent. We were a very large group (around 30 people) looking for a place last minute, and Hoss's was extremely accomodating. Our waitresses, Raisa and Jenna, were super attentive and managed to get everyone's drinks and food orders out in a very organized and timely manner, while also consistently checking on us for refills. They even let us do individual checks, which made everything a lot easier! We're really grateful...
