We went yesterday around 730PM. The food was good, pretty standard, and was out quickly. My only complaint was they decided to close the kitchen early and didn’t tell us so we didn’t get the fried ice cream we were mostly there for (over an hour before close). Totally understand closing early if you aren’t busy, but it would’ve been nice to know so we could’ve ordered it earlier.
My first and all time favorite Mexican restaurant. I either get the shrimp tacos or pollo creme. Their cheese dip is also the best appetizer with the chips 😋 I highly recommend this place if you like Mexican. The atmosphere is also so beautiful and fun!
My family and I have eaten at Rey Azetca many times. I am from AZ and have high expectations for Mexican food. Rey Azteca comes closest to meeting those in the State College area. They have excellent chips and salsa to start the meal, the entrees are solid, and the drinks are quite good. I've also found the service to be speedy and responsive, and the atmosphere has a lively vibe. It's a good place to go for a fun dinner.
