Good service, good wine, and tasty food. I had the pasta with monkfish, and my friends had the trout and the paccheri pasta. We were all happy.

As always, Allen Street Grill and Chef Alex outdo themselves!! There is no better meal, vibe and hospitality in State College. My absolute favorites this time were the Grilled Octopus (so tender and delicious) and the special Bone Marrow bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My parents are vegetarians, and the Paccheri and Mushroom risotto were so exquisite and ensure that any vegetarian who comes to this restaurant doesn't feel like they are eating an "afterthought" dish! The Steelhead Trout was so light and blended with complimentary flavors and the gnocchi were so pillowy light and MELT IN YOUR MOUTH! Becky ensures you feel at home and that every part of your experience is happy and indulgent! Every server there is so professional and provides a perfect dining experience. Alex and Becky and the whole team make every dining experience better than the next! Coming back in a week!

Another outstanding night. Our Happy Valley “go to” spot never disappoints. Top notch food, drinks and service.

Must sit by a window exciting environment and the food is exceptional- must try the octopus appetizer and branzino was delicious

One of the dishes--Branzino- was not good. There was too much tomato sauce around and very little potato (3-4 slices) that was super salty. I would not have ordered it if the waiter hadn't recommended it. It was a Fail for me. The appetizer and desert were good.

Another amazing meal at the Allen Street Grill complemented by outstanding service from Rachel who knows the menu inside and out as well as the wine list. Super helpful recommendations from her!

Becky organized our reunion dinner for 30 people perfectly. Everything about the Allen Street Grill is well detailed, from the welcoming ambience, to the impeccable and friendly service, to the well curated wine and cocktail collection, and the creative and talented kitchen. This is THE place to dine in State College.

Everything was perfect for celebrating our wedding anniversary. The service was impeccable, as our waiter couldn't be more attentive or helpful. We both ordered the Fisherman's Risotto entree and it was simply delicious - seafood/fish in every bite. A definite place to return to again and again.

For years I have wanted to try Allen Street Grill and finally did. It far exceeded my expectations. Although crowded, we were seated right at our reservation time. I had requested a window table and we were indeed seated by the window. The service was beyond excellent. The waiter gave wonderful recommendations, checked on us often and was very welcoming and pleasant. The food was out of this world! Very interesting flavors that didn't overpower but blended perfectly with the food. The carrot soup tasted like something you would get in France. The fish was excellent. The ice cream dessert had elements that I never could have imagined but loved every bite. Highly, highly recommended!!

Lemon drop martini made to order without simple syrup was quite tasty. The autumn salad, again with a swap of feta for blue, was crisp, crunchy, fresh, and perfectly dressed. The star was the grouper picatta. Calabrese for spice, fall greens, and chimichuri . Flavor explosion in each bite. OMG. So creative. We'll done Allen Street Grill??

I am my two guests were quite happy with the meal and service at Allen Street Grill. I had not been there in quite a while and was pleasantly surprised to find that there is a "new" chef and a fresh and delicious seasonal menu. Have already shared my experience with a few colleagues and will return again soon.

Kip is a foodie.... and a superb wait staff. And when he says to try something - now I know to listen. The carrot soup with the cheese filled biscuit on the side to dunk, was heavenly! We are starting to truly appreciate Kip's keen sense of good food as the chef really does create masterpieces that leave the kitchen. Becky always brings a smile and makes us feel extra special even on just a regular week day. ASG is simply unbeatable for the ultimate State College food and beverage experience.

We had a wonderful experience in so many ways. The great service by Kai ( not sure about spelling) made the evening even better. Our table was right at the windows above College Avenue. Great view indeed! The cocktails are very well crafted and were enjoyed by all. We shared the charcuterie board which was beautiful and delicious. All of our meals, seafood risotto. Ribeye steak and some excellent vegetarian dishes were all presented very well and cooked perfectly. The portions are quite large so no room for desserts but they do have lots of choices. We will definitely be back!

We had a late lunch so went right to entrees after some of their very delicious cocktails (the bar and bar staff here are amazing!). Our server was Rachel and she was an expert professional in recommending our entrees and a wine to accompany them (Do Nothing out of Willamette OR) We had the local organic chicken, ribeye and cavatelli Murray Farm chicken is the best I've ever had. Local and cooked to perfection Ribeye was amazing and also cooked perfectly All were very excellent but what really made the night was Rachel. Be sure to ask for her if you can! next time we will skip lunch so we can order more! Kieran and Taylor family
