“Came up this weekend for homecoming. Absolutely loved the place. It’s small and quaint but it’s literally in walking distance to the university. It’s also above a restaurant, a cigar lounge, across from another amazing restaurant. Will be coming back and staying here.“
“I cannot recommend this place more strongly. We rented their back area today for my dad’s 90th birthday and it could not have gone better. The facilities were clean and spacious. Laural was absolutely amazing she made sure we had everything we needed to get setup and she helped at every stage! She made our experience! Please support them and have your event there!“

We had amazing results and got a lot of money out of one machine off by itself against the wall near the restrooms.. I think the name of it was ATM.
Friendly helpful employees and free drinks if you get their club card.
You can get free play and a free Buffett with the club card, provided you run most of your Rent money through the machines. 😆“

“We had an enjoyable dinner with my wife, college roommate and his wife. The atmosphere was enjoyable, just enough noise with a great looking room. The service was outstanding, and the food was highly enjoyable. The French Onion Soup was delicious with a unique puff pastry topping. The house salad had a mixture of greens, blue cheese, cranberries, nuts & seeds with a mild vinaigrette dressing; overall it was fantastic. Finally, the entrees were varied, large and enjoyable. This is an absolute gem and well-worth visiting. We will be back when we are in the area again.“

“This is a great place to hang with friends and family. Pool tables and music are great. Everything we ordered to eat was amazing! The broiled crab-topped salmon was delicious, and the fried fish sandwhiches were a good size! Sweet-potato and regular fries were delicious, too! We weren't so fond of the hot dog, but they were large enough to fill the bun.Drink recommendations were on point! Loved the Proper apple shots!!

“I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Firstly the temperature outside and inside was well balanced and I thought the varnishing of the bar complimented this greatly. This was a good break from finding a room mate at college. I ordered my steak raw and it was delicious. I love eating it raw. Hope to be back soon with my boyfriend and his sons.“

“We stayed at the Chateau during a winter storm. It was pretty bad out, so we decided to eat at Mountainview. I was a bit hesitant because of the reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy. The bartender was also the only waitress. Although she was extremely busy, she was also extremely proficient. Our cups never went empty. We did have to wait longer than expected for our food, but given the circumstances, we understood. Our food was actually very tasty with a nice presentation! I will visit again!“

“Been coming to The Big A since we started coming to The Poconos a few years ago. Tracy’s dishes are all phenomenal but the bourbon peach glazed salmon is exceptional. Sharon has become our favorite waitress since our first visit. If you’re looking for a great meal, try The Big A!“

“Terrible service. Poor manners, no training staff except for the cook. I would not recommend to eat here. We just arrive, we didnt able to sit yet and look at the menu, the chubby lady was already asking for the appetizer and drinks. My 2 year old son french fries was not even finish yet but she took the plate without asking. The food choices are just few, more buffet out there are way better than this restaurant.“
