Although it's quite a drive for us, we always enjoy a great meal here! We found it's best to call ahead for a table - they are usually very busy, even at lunch! The entire staff seems to truly put the 'customer first! Our faves are the raspberry Chipotle wings, homemade crab cakes & their salads, especially the Balsamic & Bleu. The Tamaqua Station Restaurant proprietors Melanie and John are hands on and very welcoming. Vickie was my very attentive server who recommended the incredible Hummingbird Cake (house made banana cake with cream cheese icing with chopped walnuts on the the outside). The roasted turkey was very good with a side of al dente broccoli and real mashed potatoes infused with cheddar cheese, yum! I honestly don't know where to begin. I'll start with the historical aspect. The restaurant is in an old train station which still has active tracks. Outside there are old train cars which is very cool! Inside, the decor and vibe keeps the importance of the railroad in Schuylkill county alive. Our food was outstanding. That's not really a good enough word but you'll have to come here yourself. The mozzarella sticks were THE best. Forget pizza shop tiny things....
