My friends and I found The Wabash by accident,, we were chasing the Reading & Northern 2102 last Saturday Oct 25th 2025.. We were looking for a place for lunch and a few beers..
The food was good and prices were right,, and I got the last bowl of French Onion soup.. The woman behind bar was very nice to talk to,, putting up with us,, the Train guys... Next time we are in Tamaqua,, we will stop at The Wabash,,... Pat from Massachusetts...
My wife and I got out on a Saturday date day. After a car show and some antiqueing! We wanted to hit a local bar/grill to the area and we scored! Draft IPA’s, delicious food and great service. We had such a great experience that we added their holiday drink special and we were thankful we did…..be back soon!
I just moved into the neighborhood and me and my boyfriend are in the restaurant/bar business. The only time we have the opportunity to come in is after work. It is not a welcoming place. It is a very cliquey place. We tip 100% and not once got a “thank you” or even a positive greeting. We always have the same bartender and she is always some bigger woman who doesn’t want to leave the end of the bar to tend to customers as she is on her phone:
