This place makes a great hoagie!!! Super nice folks working in the place with fast service. The shop is small with limited seating, but 95% get their hoagie to go anyway!! Well worth trying!!!

Went there at 5 pm to dine in, many cars in lot and customers inside as well. Sign on door said closing at 6 which we missed seeing but there still was plenty of time and we were refused service and turned away and they were very rude

We got two subs, one was just ok, the other sub was a complete disaster. They made an Italian sub on cold cut roll, open on both sides, so hard to eat because everything was sliding out everywhere. Ordered was botched also. Asked for extra mayo, got almost none. Asked for no onions, got no onions and no lettuce. Lunch meat on both subs was 1/4” thick. I can understand a mistake for a large order, but to completely screw up one out of two subs isn’t acceptable. We walked in and ordered for takeout, sat at counter and waited. So we were right there! If there was a question about our order, they could’ve asked. That was the second time we were there, that was our last.

Had some business in Tamaqua and saw Tommy's Italian specialty shop. You would think what a great place to have an Italian hoagie. I was dead wrong. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a blast of the past, smell, furniture counter top and decor. I ordered an Italian hoagie, no onions, little mayo, lettuce and tomato. Got a soda as well. Paid my $15 got my lunch went on my way. Pulled over around the corner to eat my lunch, I see I got a ham, salami and cheese with a half a pound of mayonnaise. I ate half of the slop and throughout the rest of the sandwich. Italian specialty shop???? Lololol

Drove past here dozens of times and never stopped - glad I did. Had the Santa Fe turkey and bacon. Sandwich is incredible, the bread is better. Also got some fried apps, which were also on point. Service was stellar. Highly recommend this place, and compliments to the staff.
