“We drove 45 minutes to check it out today and it was a wonderful gem to find! So many prepared frozen entrées, and other goodies, reasonably priced and a cute room to eat in if desired. We had the fried Oyster platter, and it was perfect. We brought home a few meatball flavors to try and some lasagna too. Such a great variety to choose from. Look it up on Facebook and take a drive to see it yourselves. Highly recommended!!!”

“Excellent variety of specialty/gormet Hot Dogs! I had the pulled pork Mac and cheese hot dog and it was fantastic! Extremely easy to order on their Kiosks too inside the market. Definitely will be back!”

“Best authentic Thai food in the main line area! It is now my go to place for Thai food even though a bit far from where I live. I usually do takeout but they also have limited tables if you want to dine in. Maybe call before you go to make sure they have seats. Everything we tried was so good… pad Thai, pineapple shrimp fried rice, drunken noodle, mussel pancake, black rice pudding with coconut cream, sweet taro puffs, tom yum.”

“Really great experience here. Great food at fair prices, some of the best prime rib and French onion soup I’ve ever had! Our server was lovely as well. Atmosphere is very casual, kind of sports bar-y and you really get the local community feel. Had fun reading the newspaper clippings along the wall as I waited for my food. “Had the best Halloween decorations I'd ever seen in a restaurant, and it really added to my dining experience. My order was made super quick and the employees were very nice. I ordered the oreo and brownie cupfection with chocolate ice cream, which is to die for. Will definitely return soon!”

“my family made a stop in after a hike. we had the privilege of meeting the owner who was truly sweet and humble. their staff were very friendly and walked my family of 6 through their menu. everything we got was scrumptious. I ordered their white cheddar dusted Korean fried chicken. crispy chicken coated in a aged white cheddar. I paired it with their cannonball dipping sauce. my husband ordered their ghost pepper fried chicken which he devoured. our 15 year old ordered sesame chicken which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. If you're a Philadelphia sports fanatic they have some pretty neat memorabilia up on the walls. we highly recommend you stop in and check it out. totally worth the trip.”

The hostesses who great you are always so warm, so friendly, so happy to see you. If you're really lucky, you will have Oscar as your server because he is sensational. The food is positively delicious and the cocktails are hand crafted by expert bartenders. I highly recommend the steak tartare, the seared Ahi tuna, and the crab fried rice. Amazing! Be sure to save room for dessert!”

“This was our first time at The Downtown, but it won't be our last.

The restaurant was clean and well laid out and decorated for Christmas. We were greeted immediately and seated quickly.

Our server, Bryce, was great. Attentive, friendly, and efficient.

Our drinks came quickly. My wife's cranberry margarita was especially delightful.

The food was excellent. It came timely, but not in a rush. We got the tots appetizer, which was really tasty - the beer cheese in particular. My wife got the French dip, with real roast beef, not just cold cuts. I got the Kinda Healthy salad (with a cheeseburger on top!), which was really great.

Overall this is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant. There were people at the bar watching the game and families with kids in the dining area, making for a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Their gelato is made on-site. They are pricy, but worth every penny. If you are visiting the Mall, make sure to stop in for the perfect dessert and to enjoy the aesthetics Venchi’s offers. The adornment of a full window of ice cream cones and a wall of chocolate bars are very attractive. It makes you feel like you have been transported to Italy.They also offer crepes and beverages (including Affogato).”
