It's odd so many expect fine dining in such a rural area, as I haven't seen all that much better in the area. The family who owns it is very nice and doing their best to revitalize an old facility that needs lots of upgrades. If you take it for what it is (a lake/beach bar and grill with its own beach) it's great! Honestly I think they have too many items on their menu. They are open!We got to enjoy a drink in a cool place while enjoying a beautiful view on the lake. Pontoon boats were everywhere.Will be going back to eat, and enjoy the beach.Fair prices on drinks.Friendly workers! That's a bonus.
It was so nice to be back at the Pond. My family has been CL’ers since ‘31. In my lifetime, the (Frog) Pond has been our go to. Tonite's dinner did not disappoint! The roast beef smothered in home made gravy w/ a jus, crispy fries was perfect. Thank you Terri! So glad the aquariums, greasy looking frogs and red drapes are gone. They had their run. It’s a new day! See you soon !
