“Huh... The negative reviews for here surprise me. I've been getting take out and delivery from here for over ten years and although the food quality varies at times I feel it's always above average for taste. I really like the food from here and I recently took a few friends here and they really enjoyed the Lo Mein. I don't get anything fancy though. Usually just egg rolls or shrimp rolls, pork fried rice, Sweet and sour chicken etc. Still, I never got a bad meal here and service was always good if not exceptional and the prices are average for this type of food. A very good value and a good meal, so a solid 4 stars from me.”

Gina and her staff are so sweet and friendly, that the “Sweets” of their Sweets on Darby name refers as much to the people as it does to the delightful pastries she bakes. “We’ve been to Sophie’s when it was in Ardmore. I was excited to see that they reopened in Havertown. They’re located near Haverford High School on Darby Road. There’s street parking. I’m glad I made reservations because it was crowded when we arrived at 12:30. I’m not sure of the woman’s name who took care of us but I got the impression that she was one of the owners. She was friendly and welcoming. She gave us some good menu suggestions. We started with the Butterscotch Swirl Cornbread Basket that is served with an apple butter and some other butter. It was moist and delicious! More like dessert than an appetizer. We split the Brisket Cheesesteak which was very large so perfect for sharing. The brisket was very tender and the seeded roll was great. My husband said he would’ve preferred a sauce on there because he thought it seemed dry. My sons had the pork belly burnt ends and grilled shrimp cubano. They have Coke products. They also have alcoholic beverages but we didn’t try them this time. It’s a casual and homey vibe at Sophie’s.”

“So if you want a tailor-made fruit juice smoothie prepared with organic ingredients or need an immune system boost in a tasty elixir you'll find it here. There's no fancy decor or seating as it's take-out only but Kyle the owner and mixologist has a welcoming personality so you don't mind watching him prepare your order. We drank most of our smoothies before we walked out anyway. The prices reflect "fresh and prepared to order organic product" but the best part is your business will ultimately change/save a life maybe more than one. You can read about this there. “Let me start I did read all the bad reviews before heading over there so I didn’t have great expectations.However as a cheapskate and a craft beer lover especially searching for my lessor common styles of beer, I typically go by each bar and restaurant in airport and scan QR code to see beer selection and check pricing.Most places here in Philadelphia Airport straight rip off at 16 per pint, but when you want a beer you’re stuck. Anyway when I first approached the counter I was absolutely expecting to be poked since they didn’t show prices only beer menu.Luckily they had something for me that I was going to purchase regardless, A nice strong Golden at 8%.I was then blown away upon seeing I got a 20oz, normally higher ABV beers are served in smaller 12oz glasses. Any full pour of 20oz was only 10 bucks and I was expecting at least 20, left me room in budget to not only get 2nd beer plus a pretty solid hotdog and chips.Biggest plus was Connor the bar tender, was super cool and attentive, and then informed me I was safe to take my cup and walk back to my terminal, since I walked a fair distance just to check out all beer options.Lastly, unlike most other restaurants In airport it’s kind of obvious if your paying attention that their section is not owned and maintained by airport, as most restaurants have tables and chairs with chargers that kind of blend from restaurants into gates, so I kinda understand their right to ask people to patronize their business or ask them to leave, I was lucky to find a spot at the bar.Not excusing anyone ever treated rudely, and definitely not my experience.”

“These are the most generous people I’ve ever had the privilege of ordering from in my life. I’m going through a family crisis and I’m in town for the week. I’ve been eating wawa veggie sandwiches and French fries for over a week now and I decided to treat myself to something vegan so I ordered through grubhub for the first time. I guess I accidentally ordered it to be delivered the following day. So I just called them and asked them if they were able to change the delivery time. They said sure no problem but apparently they couldn’t find a GH driver so the owner drove 20 minutes to deliver it to me and I’m honestly about to cry after the week I’ve had. They will never know how much this means to me. I am a lifelong Boardwalk Vegan fan and cannot recommend them enough!!!”

“Great neighborhood deli with the best breakfast sandwiches around. Boccella's does the classic breakfast sandwich right! By classic, I mean the staple [meat], egg, & cheese on a kaiser roll. They have a good ratio of bread-meat-egg with the perfect amount of melty cheese, served hot. I haven't tried their lunch food but I imagine it's just as good!

My only critique is that they sometimes go on vacation and don't update their Google hours, so I get my breakfast sandwich hopes up and then my dreams are shattered when I see the sign on their door.”
